What kind of question is this!

Patients should be assessed multiple times to determine a complete analysis of complaints and symptoms and to determine the stability of the patient's condition. Often, symptoms change and treatments can also alter the condition of the patient. Some patients may have an adverse reaction to medication. As a laboratorian, I cannot count the number of times a patient has shared pertinent health information with me when I have been drawing their blood. (Stuff like Will _____ drug show up in this test? I forgot to tell the doctor I'm pregnant? ) Some older patients do not like to share all their symptoms and complaints with the doctor - thinking falsely that the doctor can examine them and figure out what is wrong with them without these important clues. This is information that I then must pass on to the patient's physician or nurse responsible for this patient.

It is necessary to do this so that the more needy patients get to be seen first, just because someone isn't screaming their head off doesn't mean that they aren't hurt.

Ummm... maybe to diagnose what is wrong with them and to determine whether or not they are getting better?

I hope you're not a medical student trying to find answers here.
