How are you straightening it? From my experience, to make hair stick straight you need to blow it dry with a straightening cream and then using a ceramic straightner you take 1 inch sections of hair to get it straight. Then spray with hair spray.

If that doesn't work it sounds like your hair doesn't want to be straight, which sucks, but is something you'll have to deal with. My hair can not be curly for the life of it, so the same thing might apply to you. If that is the case, learn to love your curls or get a relaxer at your salon.

Oh, honey: I did this for YEARS. I had red curly hair and lived in New Orleans. I'd straighten it by ironing it before I went to school (that was "in the day") and as soon as I got outside, poof...the curls are right back where they were to begin with. I have two suggestions for you: get a good hair stylist to work with your curls and give you an awesome new doo. Or, have it professionally straightened. I've come to the point where I just keep mine short and curly; alot less trouble and it looks great for me. Godloveya.

What you do is while your hair is wet, take Redken heat straightining spray. Spray on each piece of hair before you blow dry it with a vent round brush! Then when your hair is blown dry take some hair oil spray and put on your hair. If you don't have a ceramic flat iron, the best one is at Sally's Beauty Supply, it's about $30 and some change. Heat it to the highest it can go and on each strand spray the oil on and in about 30min your hair is slick and straight!!! And the oil will help from humidty damage!!!!

Stop wasting precious time, you are fighting a losing battle. Accept your curly hair. Choose a style which suits it, and have one huge worry less in life. Get a great cut which uses the fact that it is curly and does not need to fight nature 24 hours per day. You will feel so relaxed and happy that your face will glow and no-one will notice your hair!

put a silicon frizz serum (john frida) or theres other drug store ones in it to keep it straight and also shiny. My hair is curly also i find this helps.

obviously no matter what you do if you go out in excessive humidity or damp weather its gonna curl no matter what.

Make sure your hair is healthy also bc if might frizz bc its so damaged from all the heat styling. i hope you're not coloring and hea styling your hair is probably so dry and damage prone. use a deepe conditioner in the shower.

First thing first. Stop straightening you hair every day. If you want your hair to remain straight you may probably have to use a stronger straightener, like super. Or you can relax your hair. If that don't work, then your hair have to stay the way it is.

Try a Chi iron. Your hairdresser may have one. I also use Biosilk on my hair to help protect because the Chi gets VERY hot. But they are pricey, so don't spend the bucks until you have tried out someone else's.

Sounds like the humidity if affecting it. Are you using a glosser/de-frizz product to weigh it down a bit? Try John Frieda's Frizz Ease.

Ever try the Easy Straight system? It seems to work well for my customers and it's inexpensive.
