Hello, I am 14 and I want to get a sex change to become a girl. I already look feminine, but I need to become a girl. I hate my gender as a guy, and I'm gay. Where can I start? I can't tell my family. Thank you in advance.

I see sex change as a big ego thing. Use your brain, which is quite well equipped, to imagine anything you want to be. Let the medical system be used for people who are ill instead of for vanity surgery like liposuction and sex changes.

There is more to getting a sex change than just going to get the surgical procedure done. There is therapy and hormones and this will take some time. You aren't fully developed yet and any doctor will tell you that you will have to complete your growing stage first. You are only 14...are you sure this is absolutely what you want? Do you think that by becoming a female that your life will be easier? This is a serious issue that requires serious thought and lots of emotional support from your family and your friends. Your first step will be talking to your parents and telling them how you feel.
Good luck to you and I hope things work out.

You're too young to have a sex change operation, especially without the support of your family. You should try to be honest about it with the ones you love, otherwise you'll develop even more anxiety and guilt. You can also try talking to a trusted doctor or counselor about it, but they could inform your parents as long as you're underage. Contact some association for people who had the same problem (sorry, I don't know any).

Hi Allie
It sounds like you might need to talk to someone, a counselor or therapist. It would be good to talk. Especially at 15, you dont want to anything rash.
At some point, you'll have to tell your parents. Its unfortunate, but has to be done.

having an artificial sex organ of a woman will not make your life satisfied and happy cause you will be in pain.the sex change you want is unhealed wound in your organ so it is better for you to stay normal or having the sex organ of a male.you cannot change the anatomy GOD gave to you .you will remain man even you look different and modified.remeber that.

Start by telling your family even if you can't...

Write them a paper either before you go to sleep or while they're sleeping to open it while you're out of home... This will avoid the sudden reactions....

At the confrontation time, you'll find them calm and ready to listen to you... prepare your arguments and believe me that they'll help you...

Dont do it, i think that you think u are feminine becacuse of emotional reasons or psychological oppression, because i have seen kids who were very masculine become feminine because they were told they were gay

The Good Lord didn't make you a girl for a reason, you need to come to grips with the fact that you are a boy and it's time for you to grow up.

See a therapist they will help you. You have to see one anyway before any doctor will do the surgeries.
