Ahh, now there's the question. And for this, we need to know the religion.
In Christianity, there is the "mystery of the trinity," which would say that there is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and God the Holy Spirit (that is within us and around us), but yet, all are one.
MOST people in the world are not christians, and would say that Christians worship three gods, that there cannot be three separate "gods" and say that there are one.
Christianity is based on the old testament (Jesus was a Jew), which says that there is but one God.
So ... Whethere there is one God in Christianity -- or three -- is up to your personal beliefs (and if this is for a class, the beliefs of your teacher and the school).

One God with three beings. I know it sounds a little confusing, but maybe this will help.
Think about an egg. There is the egg shell, white, and yoke - three parts, but they're all the same egg.
There's God the Father (created the Earth), God the Son (born as a person, died on the Cross), and God the Holy Spirit (encourages us to do right; helps us to realize it if we do something wrong). They are all God, but in 3 forms.
-hope this helps-

actually there are three and one.. God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. people can't comprehend how three beings could be the same because we are thinking about it in three-dimensional terms.. it would be like a two dimensional being trying to comprehend a three dimensional being.. take a piece of paper and pretend it's a two dimensional plane.. then pretend there are two dimensional beings living in that plane.. if you held three fingers up to that piece of paper, your fingers would look like three different beings.. they would appear as little circles.. it's impossible for a two dimensional being to comprehend how those little circles could be the same being because they wouldn't be able to comprehend the third dimension where the fingers are attached.. in the same way, we three dimensional beings can't comprehend how other beings could be connected in the fourth or fifth dimension..

The Trinity is very difficult to comprehend, but the short answer to your question is in Christianity there is only one God.
Here is a link to a page about the Blessed Trinity -

Only one god. Christ is our lord incarnate. Christians believe in the trinity, God, Jesus, and the Holy spirit.
