While I was working in Saudi Arabia a religious group took over one of the Mosques, the leader of the group proclaimed he was the Messiah!
One of the requirements of being Messiah is that all people of the world will hear your message and the message will be understood by all tongues!!
Because of the media almost all the people of the world heard and understood his message.
The part of the group that survived with out being shot were taken to the local market places throughout Saudi and were beheaded in public! The 'proclaimed' Messiah did not survive!!
This is not a fairy story, it happened, a very similar thing would happen again if any one wants to try it???
So I would suggest that even if you are the Messiah you keep it to yourself!!

If they declared them self to be the Messiah in today's time I would not believe them. If I lived when Jesus was claiming to be the Messiah, I would do some research in the Bible and try to draw a conclusion, which in part, would be based on faith.

It says there will be many who come in the last days claiming to be him and working great miracle as to move even the most faithful to follow them instead of the true Meassiah. I think it will be clear though when he comes as he will be heralded by the angels and riding on a cloud.

when Jesus was baptised as the messiah, there was evidence he was. in fact the jews asked themselves if John the baptist was the messiah. they were waitng for him to appear because of a prophecy in daniel about 70 weeks. they obviously knew it was about to happen, and then Jesus started preaching true Christianity. there is no prophecy saying Jesus is going to come back to earth as a human, so i wouldn't accept him

this is where one has to rely upon their own good judgment as there are many out in the real world who are ready willing and able to take advantage of the gullible people especially regarding Religion

No, I would believe that person is probably the AntiChrist because when Christ returns we won't have to wonder we will know.
