To lose weight you have to either cut caloric intake (diet), increase caloric output (exercise), a combination of the two (which is best), or keep buying larger clothes. No other options.

Avoid white food that is processed, like sugar, flour, pasta, bread, rice, etc.
Eat whole grains like oats, barley, flax.
Drink lots of water.
Walk as FAST as you can for 30 minutes each day.
Add exercise once you stop losing weight to kick start the process.

just try to eat "good" food, and eat regularly.
don't eat snack between meals, and eat 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). If you're hungry at 4pm, eat an fruit like an apple, or a peach... it's give you energy, it'll stop your hunger, and it's healthy !
don't drink soda.
and exercise more. if you don't want to change your food diet, then you have to do some sport.

I would say don't go on a "diet". Change your lifestyle and it will automatically come off. Eat healthy and exercise. No magic pill or formula can do it.
