I have asked this before, but no satisfactory answers. Anyone who tried the New BowFlex, let me know why you like it or why you don't. Is it worth the money? If so or not, Why??? Please.

By the way, I am in great shape, always have been. I just want to stay that way and it is the thought of what a new machine that can take up less room instead of the ones that I have here. If a person thinks that I am looking to look like one of the commercial folks, that is incorrect. Besides a loved one needs surgery and won't be able to leave the house. A good machine that can help stay in great shape without having to work around our Gym Room would be nice. So no, not being fooled by commercials, just a straight up honest question above.

By the way, Mj23 you are a real dumb butt, you don't have a clue of who I am or what I look like, so don't preach to someone you know nothing about. Keep strengenthing your right or left arm by the only means you know how, unless you are stretching your neck lately!

I haven't used a BowFlex, but I have certainly thought about it. It's a little hard to tell from the tv ads just how big it really is, but the "footprint" looks smaller than the machines we have at the gym (of course, you have to figure the "sweep" of the flexing bow into the footprint). A new machine can certainly inspire you to try new routines, new exercises, reinvigorate your interest, etc. (I know what couple of new machines did for me at my gym). The only concern I have is how long do the bows retain their flex? A standard 10lb weight will always be 10lbs unless you get a hacksaw and cut a piece off. But a 10lb bow will only be 10lbs until it starts to wear out (the bow is basically a leaf spring like the kind in your car's rear suspension which, come to think of it, is probably where the idea came from). I think it is certainly very much less of a "gimmick" than the abdominisers, thigh-masters ilk that have been pushed for far too long.

hahaha .....do you really think that you are going to develop a body like those bowflex models in a matter of weeks like bowflex commercials pray and swear for? it takes YEARS to build bodies like that, my advice to you is , do not waste your money on that , you better join a gym and be disciplined
