I have a dog and am required by law to pick up his poo! (Which I always do) However cat poo litters the streets and the garden and there is no law to protect us from stepping in it on a daily basis!!!! My son seems to stand in cat poo at least once a week!

The cat poo in my area got so bad that I moved house.

No the cats did not cover it in some discreet place but pooed all over the garden, the lawn outside my front door on the drive.
I had two very young children who were not at school and were always getting covered in poo even though I would search the garden for the disgusting stuff.
The problem in that area was that nearly everyone wanted not one but at least three cats WHY?
I had no pets due the young children so ended cleaning up for these irresponsible owners IT IS NO FUN CLEANING POO OF A 2& 3 YEAR OLD . I suppose cat lovers don`t see the harm as many put their cat before child comfort and safety.

The majority of cats are indoor cats. Most go in litter boxes. How do you know the poo is not from a small dog? I doubt this is cat poo, as they bury and this is instinctual. They also don't go to the bathroom on pavement. If there truly are cat feces everywhere in your neighborhood, littering the streets, you need to call the warden to come collect all the stray/feral cats. This is also a health concern. In most areas, you are required to keep your pet contained so that it does not damage others property. You have the right to pick up and collect any animal that comes into your yard, and drop it off at the pound. In the meantime, watch where you walk.

WOW, if your son is standing in cat poo that often you must have a big problem with cat over-population, lol. Doesn't anyone know what neutering and spaying means anymore?
My cats are strictly indoors and I have to pick up their poo and pee on a daily basis by scooping their litter boxes. Believe me when i say this, I'd rather spend my time doing something else.

Cats don't poo all over gardens and in the streets! You obviously have never owned one or know little about their habits. They bury them so get your facts straight first before you accuse the poor things! It's probably fox or dog poo that your son is treading in. Cats are very very clean, my 4 use a litter tray and have NEVER pooed in our garden. All our neighbours have cats too and have never done that either. Stop ranting!

Cat's don't poo in the street - if it's small, blame those annoying yappy little rats like Yorkshire terriers. If it's in your garden, prevention is better than cure. You can buy Lion scented stuff that will scare them away, and I know loads of people who swear by leaving plastic bottles half-filled with water on the lawn. Orange and lemon helps, too. As to why cat owners don't pick it up, normally it's buried in someone else's garden, plus technically you can't legally own a cat and therefore can't be legally responsible for it's behaviour, however anti-social.

Cats normally bury it. Plus, cause cats go all over the place, the owner couldn't possibly know where the cat had done it's business.. short of taking it out on a lead or attaching a camera to it's collar!!
And it's not fair to keep cats indoors all the time like you do with dogs.

in case you be attentive to of any person that could shop up with a cat then they could desire to be interior the olympics. Cats are no longer extremely kinfolk animals simply by their agility, so the proprietors do no longer could desire to abide by a similar regulations. The question is how do you provide up the animal from leaving poo on the backyard? the simplest way could be to furnish it foodstuff, seize it and take it to a shield( I stated easiest, no longer nicest). i don't be attentive to of a single cat that wears tags, so which you does no longer be for the reason that cat back with a bit of luck. A extra "humane" selection is to spray the cat with a water spray bottle full of water and a few drops of lemon juice whilst it enters your backyard. After some situations it is going to evade your place in any respect expenses. i desire your a sturdy shot, sturdy success.

because cats bury it, in your freako son's sandpit. Why would you need a law that protects you from stepping in the stuff? I'd like to see the wording of that. Perhaps hover shoes? Or maybe you should just stop walking through cat litter.

How would you trace which poo belonged to which cat? I agree, cat poo is a bloody menace, but so is fox poo where I live - and I don't really expect the concil to come out and pick it up from all over my garden.
