Have they lost their popularity recently? I don't use mine quite as much as previously. Do you? If so, what types of things do you either cook or reheat in a microwave?

With the exception of popcorn, most food just honestly doesn't taste that great coming from a microwave. It seems to change the dynamic of it. I find myself more willing to pop it in the oven and wait, rather then nuking it - so I agree with you!!

I think microwave have lost popularity. Although I do have to use em alot. It's mainly when I'm at work or on the road, and that's like the only source of heatin an item up for me. Usally I end up cookin packaged burritos, TV Dinners (on the road of course) and left overs from home in the microwave but that's about it.

I use my microwave daily...
-reheating baby food jars after they have been refrigerated
-reheating leftovers for lunch or dinner
-heating water for tea
-thawing meats
I don't know what I'd do without my microwave!

The best use for microwave oven as far as I am concerned is frying pappads without oil in notime. Just 1 minute I am able to fry around 10 to 15 ( depending upon size) pappads. Then it is good for heating cold food.

Rarely.
I do microwave popcorn and occasionally reheat pasta or warm up milk in the microwave. I also use it to liquefy honey.

to heat water to add to stove to cooking, thawing, cooking rice , reheating meals , even grilling and baking(mine is a convectional model)

I use mine for cooking frozen veggies, heating up canned food, re-heating leftovers, frozen dinners, making popcorn, rice, instant mashed potatoes.... I really only use the stove/oven for cooking meat, frozen pizzas, and baked good like cakes, pies, etc. I use mine a lot!!

I use mine for popping popcorn, heating coffee, pizza and leftovers. I really don't cook meals in it. I didn't realize how much I needed it until it was broken for a week!

I use microwave for heating tinned beans or spaghetti, cooking porridge or scrambled eggs, heating soup, basically heating anything that doesn't need to be "cooked"
