my mom is a super strong woman, and I got alot of her strength and learned not to back down if you know you are right or doing the right thing.
My dad was very kind and caring in everything he did,, and I learned that screaming and yelling isn't always the best way to get the things you want.

If you are looking for personal answers and not whole broad society and community I think this question does not worth asking. Because the variation is much too broad and not relevant.
However, if you are looking from a certain context such as comparing one locality(one city, district, etc.) and its neighbours or even another country with differing cultural background and livelihood, then your question has struck gold. I mean then it would be a very gud question as the topic is an interesting one!! :D thats my 2 cents worth of comment

I learned alot about good work ethics from my dad. From my mom, definately would have to say kindness.
