Pray unceasingly is the same as eastern mantra repitition. Closet oneself to pray is the same as meditation. JESUS himself introduced "new age" He baptized with spirit and wih fire. Maybe the whole world needs to adopt a uniform religious dictionary.

In a perfect world, your idea of a uniform religious dictionary would be great. However, with so many different views and ideas, until Jesus comes back, there will be divisions about who Jesus is, whether He is the Savior, what He taught, and other inconsistencies. The important thing is that those of us who believe in Jesus, show His light shining thru us.
Jesus did baptize with spirit and fire, and also complete immersion in water. ( this, too is controversial unless one proves it by the Bible)
I believe you are right in saying that Jesus meditated ; same as praying.
Isn't being a Christian wonderful!!!!

Also, my Bible tells me that Jesus baptized by immersion....read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John

No doubt he did, since these things still exist within Judaism. We Jews are not "old Testament Hebrews" worshipping an "angry God" as is wrongly portrayed in Christian Sunday school. We have a spirituality, too. Our tradition teaches that the prophets were trained in schools where meditative techniques were used to prepare for receiving prophecy. Jews also danced and chanted verses from the Psalms over and over as a form of worship -- we still do. Visit any Hasidic community and you will see this. In my own home we chant around the Sabbath table every week

Also: The "sons of the Prophets" who came out to greet Elijah were not necessarily their biological children. The Hebrew word "b'nai" translated "sons" can also mean "disciples" as in "B'nai Brith" -- disciples of the Covenant. So the "b'nai nevi'im" (sons of the prophets) were disciples of the prophets. The schools were a lot like ashrams. The head prophet was Elijah and then his disciple Elisha, etc.

certainly. this is obvious to one when they study the teachings produced. why do most Christians repeat The Lord's Prayer the same way at the same time in Church Services if this wasn't the case. each individual has the free will and right along with ability to find the best way to " talk to and receive answers from " THE HIGHER POWER which influences their particular life. no one method is better than another because what works for me may not work for you and vice versa.

your misinterpreting the what Jesus said. Pray in the closet meant don't brag or do it in public like the Pharisees did. Pray without ceasing was taught by the Apostle Paul and it simply meant don't give up. Jesus said ask seek knock, in the original language it meant continually ask seek knock
