Even if the vet cannot save your dog's leg, Dog's can adjust very well with 3 legs, hurry into the office, before the dog dies and besides the dog is suffering. Imagine yourself feeling that way. I know you are writing before vet hours so have your dog there right before they open and beat on that door and yell HELP!!! Good Luck. You mioght be surprised, the dog's leg might be able to be saved depending on how the bone was splintered. Hurry, led poisioning, your doog will die for sure if you don't get it there in time. Good Luck!

What is with these idiotic questions lately? Are you a flippin moron? Another person who doesn't deserve to own a pet. Why don't you take the animal and get it some help... and let me explain to you why I think you are a freaking idiot.

1) Lets say you were in a car that went off a cliff and you broke your arms and legs and were pinned inside the car for three days.
2) Someone finds you - and then gets on Yahoo Questions to determine whether or not they should call an ambulance for you, and if we think the doctor can fix you.

Do you get the point - this is why I know we must have evolved from apes - because you are about as dumb as one.

That is a hit or miss. It needs to be seen by the vet. If it is a piece of flesh missing they can clean it give him antibiotics to heal and should be okay. As far as broken bones its the same situation. It would need to be xrayed to see what is really going on inside.

Just because he was gone for seven days doesn't mean it happened seven days ago.

What was your dog doing running loose in the first place? Get him to the vet STAT and don't hold out any hope of saving his leg as it has been unattended too long.

Get him to a vet NOW!

If it is any consolation, I have a rescue dog with a bum front leg. One vet wanted to amputate and another said leave it if it is not causing him any problems. It is nerve damage and he does use it to a limited degree...so he's keeping all four. My poor Sparky!

Good luck

if hes been shot for a long time im afraid that infection is definately a factor now and the leg is prob not saveable.... hes going to prob need medication for infection and they might even have to remove the leg.... but it doesnt mean he wont have a normal life.... my dog had 3 legs and i walked him every night just like a normal dog.

I think he could but only he can know when your dog was shot. This will help. The worst would be your dog to be dead but if it is something serious he might have to cut his leg.

People like you should not own pets if you're asking questions like this! Your pet should have been at the vets office the first available minute he came back! I hope you don't have kids!!!
