i have an orange kitten (around 4 months) and my sis in-law used to be a vet-tech and she told me that my kitten is half siamese due to the size of his ears and how vocal he is...i kinda find that "bull"...could it be possible even though he is classified as an orange tabby??

Anything is possible when it comes to cats and their dominant or recessive genetic traits. Vocalization is a common trait of Siamese, but there are many talk happy cats - and in my experience - it's more of an environmental/personality trait of the kitten. Sometimes needy kittens, socially inept, hungry or sick kittens will be very vocal. Also, kittens raised solo tend to talk a lot as well. Many breekds of cats have large ears as well - - just take a look at a breed chart. So, your sister could be right - or not. A tell tale sign of an orange cat who is a Siamese is the Flame Point Siamese - note the ears. Cocksided eyes and blue eyes are other dead give aways. Look this one up and see if it looks like your kitten and good luck. Either way, talking cats are generally pretty fun to live with and it sounds like you've lucked up. RescueHearts.org

is it possible it is what's called a flame point or red point Siamese? I have a flame point. Send me pic, I'll let you know. Also, age? an color of eyes?

My seal point Siamese, Gemini, has a kitten that looks nothing at all Siamese. She's solid grey with a little white spot on her belly. The dad was 1/2 siamese, so Libra is 3/4 siamese and doesn't look Siamese at all. Just a warning on Siamese mixes, Siamese have different blood tye than domestic short hair, so watch the kitten closely for any heath problems. Only one kitten in Gemini's litter has lived past 3 weeks.

Any cat can talk alot. My Bengal is 20 times more talkitive than my Siamese are.

Siamese cats if bred by a plain cat can have both siamese colored and regular kittens.
My office cat a grey tiger stripe cat used to have kittens and each litter at least two of the kittens were saimese pointed and colored the rest would be either gery stripes or black.
Your cat could have a siamese parent. But many cats are vocal not just siamese.

It's possible, Vocal is a Siamese trait. As for the ears, Siamese cats have very sparse hair in front of their ears - the skin shows. Check it out.

I have a solid white cat and she had a pale Siamese and a calico kitten. There are no other cats that look like him around and no other of her babies from other litters look like him. He has the most shocking blue eyes and very pale almost tan markings. So anything is possible.

If you got it as a stray, from an animal shelter or a pet shop, it is possible it could be anything. but it could have it's mother as a siamese and it's father as a ginger tabby. that is the only way that a combination like that is possible, as by your description.

Sounds really cute though.

Anything's possible with mutt cats:)

As for the hair being sparse around the ears being an indication of siamese lineage.....my orange and white tiger has sparse hair in front of his ears, too....I don't think he has any siamese in him.

Are your cat's eyes blue? I don't think I've seen a siamese mix yet that doesn't have blue eyes.

The result will be more unwanted kittens euthanized because of irresponsible people such as yourself. Make your New Years resolution to have all cats in your neighborhood either neutered or spayed. And to KEEP THEM INDOORS.
