Yes, but I don't look for death in this generation. I look for the
Rapture of the Church. I believe that this is the generation that
will bypass death.

an old wise man in Egypt said, inscribed upon a stone...
the afterlife must be a great place, no has returned to say otherwise
I am confident if I live this life trying to shape the next life I will be ignoring the value and worth of this life and other people around me, trivializing a special moment and gift, more or less saying you want the 2 birds in the bush and let go of the one bird you have in your hand
we don't know if anything what will happen. we do however know right here and now you have yourself and other to love and care for, and supposedly some believe you will be judged on character
if so, how will you look if you buried your talent and love in the ground and did not use what you had been given, a chance to make this a better place to live and be a good steward and give back the land and skill with at least "interest" or double what you took
being a a balance between taker and giver is more important than taking and buying into a next life or current religions and philosophy

Absolutely. Although I do not follow any of the above mentioned belief systems, I am fully certain fo what will will befall me at the time of my death. In my case it will be to sit in Valhalla among the other warriors. I have ablosutely no doubts about that. It is a part of who I am. I fully believe that what befalls in the afterlife is determined by the religion we follow and that the "punishments" meted out are given to those that have professed to follow a particular religion and broken its laws, violated its tenets and proven themselves to be disloyal. Those that have behaved in a manner consistant with the teaching of the religion they follow will find themselves receiving such things as are reserved for those that behave in such a manner. Again, of these things I have no doubts, no questions, and no reservations.

God is as real to me because I am nothing without Him. There was a time when I was not where I am with Him, I would just wake up and live my life. But one day it was too much for me to handle and I knew that I need God. I accepted Christ Jesus into my heart and Life seem easier. I still had struggles but I knew how to handle them better in God.
Before I was afraid of death but now I am at peace in dieing because I know that one day I will die. And I will be given a chance to have an ever lasting life with God than to burn forever in Hell.
God is very real to me, especially when I pray, sing and dance to Him. There are times when I feel His presence (mostly at church, I go to a praying church) And there are times that I have to really seek Him.
Yes He is more than just a symbol, He lives within my heart its just a special peace that you feel inside.

Yes I'm secure. Jesus is the Lord of my life. When I confessed that He is Lord, I had a life-changing experience and I was truly, truly changed - for the better, not the worst. I live by faith alone - that Jesus is who He says He is, the Son of God, and that he rescued me from a real place called Hell. Praise be to Him.

I am a Jew. I live for this world and making it a better place for the generations to come.
If I do not worry about an afterlife, there is no problem. Living for a ''good afterlife'' is living for the wrong reason, I think. We do what we can for today and G-d will take care of the rest.

I believe Faith is hope, so I hope there is an afterlife. I live my life according to the golden rule, so I'm not evil, therefore, I hope I would be found good in God's eyes. If this is all there it is to it, I'll know I lived right, and close my eyes.

In response to your question, I seriously believe that when you die, you are not capable of being confident of anything. If you want to be confident, you have to do it when you are alive.
In response to your additional details, I am an atheist, and although my reading has taught me that you really can't be certain of anything; that is, proven facts have a way of being suddenly disproven, I nonetheless have more trust in the information provided by scientists than I do in that provided by the religious believers.

No Doubts whatsoever That Jesus Christ Is Lord.
I Know People will Disagree and shake their heads and yes yes yes and all that, well..I shake my head at them for shaking their heads at me to infinity.
God exist's Period. and those who dont believe can rant and rave and all that,,they cannot win, they will not win.
Those who dont believe come in here day after day attacking the faith and all that with no hope of stopping it, but noooo they like the stubborn children that they are keep on trying, well, wasted efforts are thiers not mine.
