God is the source of all abilities. You can do whatever you want, but you must keep in mind that you will be responsible for it. You will have to enjoy or suffer the consequences of your actions.

"If god created psychic abilities, why is it wrong to use them?" Who says it would be wrong to use them if they actually exist? Ive never heard that they would be forbidden. Your question presupposes an incredible amount. Who establishes that such abilities even exist at all? I think that issue needs to be resolved before one can seriously discuss the merits of their use. For that matter if such abilities do exist who said it was God who created them? It hasn't even been scientifically established that there even is a God either. That is something that individuals just have to take on faith. Its just as possible that rather than some God creating everything, that it was man who created God or at least the idea of one. I don't know if God exists or not. I'd certainly like to. However, all these other questions would be better addressed first before you start alking about abilties that are even more speculative in nature than the basic existence of God Himself.
I do agree with the others that, like God's other gifts, it is not the mere use that is the issue but how we use them. To do good. To do God's work. Or for selfish gain or to the detriment of others.

Thus saith the Lord
Deu 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch,
Deu 18:11 Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.
Deu 18:12 For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD: and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee.
Exo 22:18 Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.
1Sa 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. (by the way 13 is the number of rebellion btw)

If we accept that God created all and he created us in His image, then He has given us gifts, abilities, and potential to become more than we are.
Like a lot of people do with the Bible, I think there is misinterpretation as to the meaning and purpose of the scriptures. There is an important element woven throughout the teachings that I think is missed by so many. The Divine Wisdom knew that if people became overly awed by such things as idols, spiritual gifts/abilities, or rituals that we would become too preoccupied with those things to pay attention to what was important. Our sincere, genuine relationship to the Divine.
Just as God did not intend us to worship idols, He did not intend us to worship oracles or practices that people would be tempted to use for petty desires. (Example: Casting "spells" for love, money, etc.) By such practices, we become blinded by our desires to truly experiencing the Divine.
However, whether the warnings in the scriptures were for reasons that idols or certain practices would be useless to us in our development or because they would distract us from the Truth, I think the "evil" that we are warned against is not inherent to those things but within the petty desires and selfish motives that people would have in their hearts in the use of such things.
Having said that, as grand and wonderous as the Universe is, we are only able to experience a small part of it within the limits of our physical senses. I don't believe, if it serves us in our spiritual evolution, that God just denies us the ability to perceive more of the Truth through psychic abilities.
There are too many examples of figures in the scriptures using such abilities to enlighten to label those abilities evil. Remember such abilities were used by Moses, Joseph, John the Baptist, and, of course, Jesus.

According to 1 Corinthians chapter 12:
Man was given a great variety of spiritual gifts and to each was given different gifts. That being the case, to refuse to acknowledge their existance, to refuse to use them, and to condemn those who do, goes against what is written in the bible about those gifts.
The problem is that because at somepoint in history the use o those gifts was associated with the practice of witchcraft (we all know how the church went on about THAT), the idea of having or using these abilities was condemned as were those that possed them. It is simply fear and a lack of understanding about those gifts and their origin that has led them ot be condemned. There are primitive cultures where those abilities are prevalent and are used to help the people to survive. They use those abilities to find water, food, to know when bad weather is coming, even to avoid attacks from enemies or dangerous animals. WHO would say it is wrong to know that, at 3:45 next thursday someone is goin to try to abduct their child. Or that in three christmases a lightning bolt during a storm is going to send a broken tree through the window where the baby sleeps.

God is. Why do they call them psychic is the question. There has just been a Dutch survey about people hearing voices and that the majority like it. God is the quiet voice that is how you know Him. I have used my abilities since i was less than one year old...remember what was said about the talents God gave to the three men and how He praised the man who used his and they were multiplied.

"If god created psychic expertise, why is it incorrect to apply them?" Who says it would be incorrect to apply them in the event that they actually exist? Ive on no account heard that they may well be forbidden. Your question presupposes an mind-blowing quantity. Who establishes that such expertise even exist in any respect? i think of that difficulty desires to be resolved formerly you would be able to heavily communicate the advantages of their use. For that rely if such expertise do exist who mentioned it grew to become into God who created them? It hasn't even been scientifically customary that there even is a God the two. it incredibly is something that persons purely could address faith. Its purely as achieveable that somewhat than some God bobbing up each and every thing, that it grew to become into guy who created God or a minimum of the assumption of one. i don't be responsive to if God exists or no longer. i'd easily want to. whether, a majority of those different questions would be extra effective addressed first formerly you initiate alking approximately skills that are much extra speculative in nature than the common life of God Himself. I do believe the others that, like God's different presents, that is no longer the mere use it incredibly is the priority yet how we use them. To do sturdy. To do God's paintings. Or for egocentric earnings or to the detriment of others.

I don't believe it is wrong to use them. However, I do believe it is wrong to try and manupulate the universe to your own selfish gain and the detriment of others with spells and curses. That is what the Torah forbids -- sorcery or "black magic," not psychic abilities in general. Both the sorcerer and the saint have psychic abilities. The saint uses them to serve God and help humanity. The sorcerer tries to manipulate and twist the world to his/her own will.

God created everything. And I don't recall anything in the Bible about Psychic Abilities. Perhaps they don't exist.
