35 pounds is not an unreal goal for weight loss in 2 months.
The average healthy amount to loose is 2 to 4 pounds per week…
In the last 15 years, there seems to have been market saturation with diets or diet pills.
I personally think (& have seen) the most successful way to loose weight is the old fashioned one… called “diet & exercise”.
Depending on your height & weight now… figure out what is the maximum amount of calories you can consume in your daily diet. In order to loose weight, you need to reduce your caloric intake & burn off fat through more exercise during the day.
You want to avoid foods that have a lot of “fat” calories because you will receive a small serving size. Foods that have no or relatively small amounts of fat calories offer larger serving sizes.
A great form of exercise is just plain old walking. This can be easily done your lunch hour or breaks at work. Try to walk at a faster pace in order to burn more fat.

Think about what you eat. Don't eat from habit - I used to get a bar of chocolate every evening when I left work to eat on the train. It became a habit. Choose to eat or not to eat. If you are hungry eat, if you are not don't. Do you eat puddings? Do you need to eat puddings? I cut out puddings and habit eating and lost 18 pounds in 40 days. Not quite what you need, but I did mine without any pain or difficulty. If you added some excersise, and cut your portion sizes slightly I am sure you could manage it.
DONT try a crash diet, or anything stupid, because that won't work. You will loose a lot to start with, but then end up putting it back on, and feeling a failiure.
Good luck.

South Beach Diet will get the 35 pounds off if you stick to it. The hard part is keeping it off. It is a very strict diet and even phase 3 is hard to stick to. But in phase 1, the pounds melt off, especially if you do some walking or other reasonable exercise with it.

To lose weight, a person has to reduce the calorie intake by some amount by modifying their diet. A diet without sufficient nutrients will only increase the appetite of the person trying to lose weight. Since most people combine a diet with an exercise plan, additional nutrients are required for the growth of muscles required to increase the metabolic rate required for long term weight loss. healthy eating, regular excercise and plenty of water
Whatever you do though, dont starve yourself cos your body needs a certain amount of food to keep your metabolism going so if you starve your metabolism slows down and you dont lose the weight!!!
You need to eat a balanced diet, include fat in your diet but not too much.
Everyone is different, we all lose weight at different rates. If you're clinically obese then you'll lose weight alot quicker than someone who is only 35 pounds overweight!
Good luck

I recently started a self styled programme to lose 36 lbs in 36 weeks.
I record daily what i eat, amount of water and exercise. I don't intend weighing myself until the end.
i can already notice a difference in my weight.
i have tried to do it over a shorter period before and failed. Realistic timeframe and not constant weighing is the key to success i think. hopefully i will be proved right.
PS 36 weeks is not a lifetime, don't keep looking for the quick solution.

That works out to 4 3/8 pounds per week, which is more than twice the recommended rate. There may be diet plans and/or supplements on the market that will promise that but, leaving aside whether they will actually delliver on their promise, if they succeed, it will be extremely unhealthy for you.

Don't think in terms of pounds. Here are some ideas for improving fitness.
There is no site specific way of losing fat... the old myth about working your abs to burn belly fat isn't true. To get rid of love handles, you need to lose overall fat. That happens with exercise and watching your diet. More on that below.
The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.
Another overlooked way to burn fat is by lifting weights. Skeletal muscle has very high caloric needs... almost twice that of adipose (fat) tissue. Put on a little muscle and you will burn calories all day even at rest. Be aware that skeletal muscle weighs more, so with this approach you may see your weight increasing while your body fat is melting away. Not realizing this often stresses folks who think they should be losing weight as a measure of fitness. Forget the scale, look in the mirror and you will be happy.
For diet, keep a diary for a couple of weeks counting calories, grams of protein, and grams of fat intake. It is easy with online sources of nutritional information (type the name of the food and calories into the Google search engine) and packaging labels. That will let you quickly figure out where the fat is coming from in your diet.
Fat gives you 9 calories per gram. So take the number of grams of fat, multiply by 9, then calculate what percentage the fat calories are of your total daily calories. Restricting the calories from fat to about 20% of your total intake is ideal for a maintenance diet... that isn't overly restrictive. Of note, you need some fat in your diet. For instance, the body uses fat to produce hormones. Once you have a picture of how to modify your diet, you can drop the diary and just go back to it occasionally if you are wanting to tweek things further.
There is a subset of questions that goes further and asks about "How to get a six-pack?" The answer is the same. Six-packs are 20% abdominal exercise and 80% diet. There is one caveat... abdominal muscles will form in the position that you exercise them, so be certain to pull them tightly toward your spine while doing crunches, etc. Also, during most lifting, the "core is active" which means that you should be stabilizing with contracted abs then too. Fail to do this and the abs will form, but bulging outward and the result is not attractive.
If you are trying to build muscle as a way to lose fat, then you may need to increase total calories and specifically your protein intake. I target about 0.8 g of protein per pound of body weight each day when actively building. That is far more protein than most people need in their diets.
