actually i need it for my home and casually outside,i want to spend 200-250 US$.and in that camera i want specially video movie with sound.so suggest me any camera which gives great value for money.
should have minimum 5 megapixel,3x optical zoom, lithium battery, good lens,2.5 inch LCD,and memory card 1 GB or 512mb.
model should be good n compact.brand you suggest me,whatever good, durable and gives full value for money.need durable coz,sometime my kid definetly will use it.

Consumer Reports suggests the Canon powershot A620 for about $220 . It has 7 megapixels , 4x optical zoom and a 2" LCD. It comes with 32MB of storage but you can always purchase a memory card with the capacity you need. Hope that helps.

Of those cameras, the A530/540 is the best. Study the testing done on them here.

Note the links to the right for various online sources. These are pretty good prices and better than you will find in any local store. If you look at the detail sheet for the cameras, there will also be a link next to memory (cameras need a memory card) which also has some of the best prices. Shouldn't cost more than $20 for a decent memory card for your camera.

It sounds like you already have a good short list. Why don't you just read the reviews - they're more in depth and more objective than anything you'll get here.
And keep in mind that memory cards are sold separately. So are protective cases/ pouches. Everything else you'll need comes with the camera.
