That is very sad indeed. I believe what goes around comes around. It's just karma that you sew what you reap. You say what's the worst that's happened? OMG there are horrible things happen each and every day. You're lucky to live in a small town when you see it once in a lifetime or so rather than as a daily occurance.

I could never ignore someone's cries for help and have dialed 911 to assist on many an occasion.

I guess the worst is when you hear that a child has been abducted and then found murdered.

It was in our local paper recently about a woman who answered her front door and some guy punched until she was unconscious. The worst part is that she can't remember what happened but the mess this guy left her in was disgusting. He broke her jaw gave her a fractured skull and she's not sure but he may also have raped her. This happened in broad day light and was done by someone she didn't even know. I just hope they catch the sicko who did this to her.

One of the biggest problems as to why "nobody takes any notice" is that in the centre of any town after closing time, you get so many young women screaming and shouting both in temper and in joy that unfortunately whenever one of them really IS being raped or attacked in some other way, their screaming evokes not a single emotion in passers-by, simply because they've heard it all so often before, and are thoroughly fed up with it all the time. They put it all down to "high spirits" or drunken behaviour, so perhaps it's a case or three of "Crying Wolf"............

That is awful...I live in San Francisco so I am sure there are all sorts of terrible things that happen in this big city, but things happen right in my building. Someone went into one of our parking garages, scratched up a bunch of cars, broke into several and stole personal belongings, then stole a car to steal computers and parts all over town. The car was found with all of the stolen equipment inside. They caught the criminals, luckily, but gosh, there must be a better way to live life then to do these things to others.

Well.. i heard of a group of soldiers (maybe four) that were stationed overseas (Iraq maybe). They left their checkpoint and went to a house where they killed a family (mother, father, younger daughter.) and raped the older daughter, she was 14. They killed her after they were done.

I'm going to say that its just a lot easier to walk by and say, "well, its not happening to me, so its not my problem." Its kinda like a scenario where one man has a gun, and he's holding up an entire crowd. No one in the crowd will lung forward, even though if the whole crowd jumped the man they could take him, because one or two of them will be shot. No one wants to stick their neck out for other people anymore, the worlds going downhill.

We had a guy and his daughter who took innocent females to his houuse and tortured and raped them. He had a trailer that he called his toy box. He had chains and whips and a hospital bed and a homemade coffin in there that he used to torture females with. It is said to believe that they found a body in the lake of one of the victums and were seatching for more. It was on the natinal news and it showed the torture equipment on a website that the State Police put up of the jewely and all of the stuff in the trailer that they found. The man died in prison not long ago.

A mate of mine got killed in a fight. I Didn't see what happened but I came round the corner and saw him lying there with people crowded around. Two of us got through the crowd and were trying to perform CPR until the ambulance came, whilst getting kicked by people in the crowd at the same time.
