Yes you are right .
But any success achieved by way of unethical means is all ways short lived as compared to ethical means.
When you succeed by way of ethical means even your enemies will appreciate your efforts.
When you resort to unethical means your close friends will start hating you.
What is the point in succeeding and losing your friends circle in the same breath.
Is it worth succeeding when you have nobody to share your happiness ?
Would you prefer to be lonely and successful or successful with lot of admirers.
What separates these two is the word ETHICS.
p.s :- Swami Vivekananda once said " worst form of poverty a human being can suffer is LONELINESS "

Success is a State or Stage.
Ethics is being.
Beings goes beyond states.
FAITH and PRACTICE of ETHICS gives success through
not STAGE,but Success to our Heart & Mind.
The success with out Ethics will be short lived and could not sustain.
Follow ethics even though you fail,but you will be more peaceful & comfortable than Temporary winners

Do you think there is no value for ethics these days? The progress of human civilisation is based on ethics and the day we forget its relevance in our thoughts and deeds, will mark the end of our civilisation. A handful of unscrupulous people do not make the society and their momentary or temporary success cannot crown them as all-time heroes.

1. GOD takes stock of the position later when a person has swallowed success down one's throat to the stomach, but then the indigestion starts and his/her downfall spiralls down.
2. Ethics (True / False) really takes the man to the next level. Truth is equivalent to GOD. Compassion is the key to the permanent success.

IF ethics are not necessary for success then none of the parents would have admitted them in good schools even if their children were intelligent enough to earn money.

ethics is necessary for success,coz at the end of the day you will feel successful only if you feel good in your own eyes,you can't ignore that inner voice even amidst the glory of success though each person's personal ethics differ from the other.just stick to your own ethics not to someone else's......

Define success first then only you will know if it is necessary. Success to me would be both fame and fortune. Fame does not come without ethics but instead notoriety.

they are two different variants pls dont mix them up.
One can be super successful with ethics (defined by him) and one can be a real looser without ethics (what you think all drunk people lying in gutter are?)
