make sure to have proper lighting. lighting is very important, especially when you are using colours like purple in the wall. i have a feeling your bedroom is going to look great!

I like option #1 because I love purple and a light shade on the walls will be both soothing and sophisticated. Also, in a bedroom a plush rug is cozier than wood flooring. The wallpaper sounds cool but don't use it on all the walls. Maybe one wall for an accent. I find that I tire of wallpaper and it's a pain to take down.

Wood floors are so awesome. You arent stuck with just one color. It goes with everything. Then you can throw some beautiful area rugs down. Plus if you have any allergies it will cut down on that in the room that is suppose to be your safe haven. Gold and olive green sounds beautiful but i dont know if I would use wall paper unless its wall paper that looks like a natural wall. Wall paper just doesnt go in a bedroom unless is elegant and in good taste. Purple is awesome for a bedroom. My husband and i have done those colors in our bedroom before but you get tired of it after a while. I'd really be interested in knowing what you do in the end. I love the thought of hard wood floors. Just not the wall paper. What about doing the hard wood floors and getting an area rug that is purple or has purple in the design and then painting in a light purple with texture?

puple rug will make the room look smaller and dull.
but, wooden flooring will give ur bedroom a rich look.
olive green on walls keep your bedroom cool.
A tinge of yellow added to the green will keep u vibrant throughout ur life.

I like (real) hardwood flooring better. I suggest maple (cause u can combine it with mostly every color). And I like a darker blue better in the bedroom, helps relaxing.
I would like to see the gold and olive green wallpaper, btw.
Would u say it's something for my den?
OK, back to topic. If u already decided to do No. 1or 2, I would say 2 is the better choice.

why not incorporate both
hard wood floor
purple/eggplant area rug
light olive or light purple walls
with punches of gold or a wall border
introducing a third color seems to pull a room together

I would prefer #1, but take your time deciding. Your bedroom should reflect your best self, peacefully relaxing. Details make a big difference, so select your curtains, lamps & wall hangings very carefully. Maybe add one thing at a time until you are sure that is what you want. When you enter the room you want to feel truly comfortable and OK with yourself and the world.

I like carpet better in the bedroom. Purple is one of my favorite colors. I choose #1.
