Thats because you deleted it! You dont delete programs! You do a proper uninstall! You better hope its still in your recycle bin! If it is, restore it and then properly uninstall it in add remove programs in control panel!

Go to Start-Run-Type "Msconfig."

Disable anything that has McAfee in the name. This should stop it from bothering you. You may have to resize some of the columns, but mousing over their boundaries at the top of the screen.

When the computer starts back up, check the box telling you that you don't want Msconfig to come up whenever you start the computer.

That's it!

Reinstall McAfee & then UNINSTAL it, using the link on it or via Add/Remove.

Then DONT install Norton...its as rubbish as McAfee.

Instead go to www.download.com...download AVG Free / Spybot S&D / Ad-Aware (lavasoft) / Zone Alarm & Simple File Shredder.

All do what Norton & McA do, but better & they are free & universally they are praised by users

It is a long process.
First see in add/remove section in control panel. If you find it there , uninstall it.
If you find it, and can not uninstall it.
If you still have the original installation program of Macafee on your hard disk, or on a cd, then run the installation program, to install it again. Once the installation completed then you can properly uninstall it from add/remove programs section in control panel.
If you do not have the installation program then you will have to download a registry cleaner software .Free RegScrubXP registry cleaner
http://www.sofotex.com/RegScrubXP-download_L7528.html

Download, install and run this software, and see if it can remove entries of Macafee from registry.
After that remove/delete the folder created by Macafee in the program files folder. C:\program files\Mcafee.com

When you remove any program it always leaves traces of itself behind, the best thing to do is run a cleaning program and a good, easy and safe one to use is ccleaner which can be found here http://www.ccleaner.com/ Ideal for beginners.
The program is worth using to clear any junk on your system about once a month. doing so will benefit the speed and stability of your operating system.

Open my computer, open programme files, select the McAfee folder and delete it.
If this fails to work: Open search, enter name i.e McAfee and do search. When your search ends, delete any files. :-)
