I am not so sure this is an intelligent toy, but dogs love the "squirrel bungee"! It is a bungee cord that hangs from a tree. When squirrels climb down the rope to eat a treat, the bungee goes up and down, thus, causing the dog to go bazerk! Just thought I would throw that out there.

Hide and seek with your dogs favorite toys. Also you can start laying a track for him/her with small pieces of hotdog. Start with short close steps and increase. This will increase their tracking ability and dogs love it. Always PRAISE you pooch for a job well done. Doing obedience training is fun look for a local trainer. Remember all your pooch wants to do is please you. Everything should be a game.

There are many interactive toys available as well as the new Kong toys that you fill with treats. Dogs must think to get the treats out.

Remember, too that depending on you dogs age, he/she may have a short attention span. A few minutes an hour is tops for puppies in training. =)

a dog will pretty much try anything for a biscuit, so as long as you have the patience you can stimulate your dog all day by teaching him/her to do basic commands. Like turning around, rolling over etc. Im afraid i know of no other toy more interesting than a human for a dog.

you can teach your dog to "shake left" and "shake right" first teach the dog to shake. Then say "shake left" and accept only the left paw. Then repeat with the right paw. Then mix them up.Do not just alternate, the dog would get used to just switching. MY dog gets this with about 99% accuracy.
