THE BOOK OF TOBIAS
This Book takes its name from the holy man Tobias, whose wonderful
virtues are herein recorded. It contains most excellent documents of
great piety, extraordinary patience, and of a perfect resignation to
the will of God. His humble prayer was heard, and the angel Raphael was
sent to relieve him: he is thankful and praises the Lord, calling on
the children of Israel to do the same. Having lived to the age of one
hundred and two years, he exhorts his son and grandsons to piety,
foretells the destruction of Ninive and the rebuilding of Jerusalem: he
dies happily.
Tobias Chapter 1
Tobias's early piety: his works of mercy, particularly in burying the
dead.

parts of Galilee above Naasson, beyond the way that leadeth to the

Great idea, my husband and I are doing the same thing :) Gabriel as a first name if we have a boy, and Rebecca as a middle name for a girl. Tobias is my favourite from the boys list, although I doubt your son would hate you for any of those. For girls, I love Ruth, not too keen on the other two, sorry!

There exists in the Bible in the historical books,"the Book of Tobit". There is a Tobiah mentioned in this book of the New Testament, and I believe Tobias is a derivative of this.

15-17 times in th NIV
"Tobiah" comef from th Hebrew "tobivvah."
This name is used 14 times in the Bible, in th ebook of Exara and NEhemiah. It seems that Tobiah began an alliance to help revuilt the Isarlaetit temple after the JEws returned to Canaa, but that he was ulimitely discouraged and gave in to the more opoweful peopl around him
