Obviously it will affect the people you know, but the bus you used to take will continue its route, and the flowers you planted will keep growing, as if nothing has happened.

Thats how life is, so whats so scary about it,?
You are not a part of your neighbouring town and it is functioning without you, LOL the world is, what if you die tomorrow, No one will cry or miss you after a very short while.
does your great grandfather still live, i am sure he doesnt, so has min e passed away, New Generations replace old ones, Cycle of one generation is approximately 60 years, we all go eventually, but we live in our offsprings, our kids carry our genes, we are survived by them, we are all small parts of a much bigger play,
Imagine if life was for about a 1000 years, LOL, your brains and memory had to be so large that you might need a head the size of an elephant. You will have to have a very huge cache memory, relations would be in millions, Imagine the amount of food you would have consumed. Imagine your age for puberty is 300 years, and another 500 years of active sex life with your wife, ha ha ha ha ha ha LOL and wow, a 289 year old kid, Just thinking of the no. of daipers you would use, makes me go crazy, lol time scales would be crazy, Insurance premiums would be very very low,
Gods design is perfect, our ages are just right, death is the reality, so it shoudnt scare you, on the contrary you should be doing as much as good as you possibly can that way it lives after you and you may even live in that good.

You know, I can relate to this.... I think about that sometimes. Very good point. I agree with you 100% and I always wonder if where ever I am if I will still see what's going on after I'm gone. Anytime someone passes away I sit and think wow, the world is still moving and this is what's going to happen when I go too. It's kinda scary to think about it that way.

This is the exact thing that hits you in the face when you lose a loved one. Everything goes on and the washing still needs to be done. In my case I lost my dad who was in his 70's. You find yourself looking at old people and thinking 'why are you still alive you must be much older than my dad' it is not a nice thought but a valid one just the same. and you are right your loved ones are the only ones truly affected. Life is a wheel that just keeps turning!

I know what you mean. We mean so little. Very few people will even leave a lasting impression. Nothing is sacred anymore. we are all going to be lost in a world without memory. It sucks. There is no culture, no remembering the past. It's a world that doesn't care! We are so small!!!

It is a relief. Their are no requirements of you. You can lead your life as you want. Have fun while you live and more people will remember you. Don't follow the group and you will be remembered longer. Help or destroy society and they will write about you.
Even the people you know will move on with life. They will just remember you.

I actually find it very comforting.
No matter what happens: if I live, if I die, if I make good choices or bad choices- everything keeps going.
It takes some of the pressure off of daily living. Choices have consequences, of course, and you have to live with them- but no matter what you do- life goes on.

Nope, it doesn't scare me.
I sometimes think about this subject though - my mom died a few years ago and I think of the things she has missed out on since she's been gone, and how I can't call her anymore to talk about what's going on in the world.

No, doesn't stress me a bit, I would want all those things to continue on without me. It would stress me thinking that they wouldn't go on after I am gone.
