When you feel that you have the ability and love within you to love the other person and to treat the person as rightly as he or she deserves.
But maybe for now, take a break. Go outside, travel. Go meet your friends. Catch up with the rest of your family, those who silently stand by you but were often overlooked. Spend time with youself. Think about what kind of person you want to be with, what kind of person you can become.
The sun will always come out after the rain. Your pain will pass. Never go for anyone on the rebound just to soothe your own pain temporarily. What goes around comes around.
After all the above's done, you will know in your bones when is the right time to date again :)

Right after you've gotten over the heartache. There's no point go back out dating if you're gonna keep comparing your past relationship to the present. It's not fair to your new relationship if you haven't let go to what you have had. Leave the past alone, and "open" yourself to the future.

Don't listen to the people telling you to go out right away. It won't be fair to the person you hook up with and most of all, you won't be fair with yourself.
Take some time. Let people come to you. Be picky. Enjoy time with yourself. When you feel YOU are over the heartache, then proceed slowly.

Good question!
Well, to say the truth, I think that nobody can tell you this, because it always depends on how someone feels, on how someone reacts about certain things and on how someone deals with time, aches, past and future.
Even though it is very very difficult to get over a broken relationship, I think that everybody should look forward to make his/her present and future better. Because if you keep on thinking about the past you will never be able to look forward. So, if I have to be sincere darling, I think that you should go out and even date smb as soon as you feel (even if you doubt it at certain moments) that you need to leave your past behind. In order to forget about your past begin smth new as soon as possible. And don't stay there crying over the spilled milk. Find a new love very soon!
Good luck!

Mary,
You being single even after a heart ache might give me a heart attack, you have to start dating the minute you are out of the previous relationship,
take my advise and you will have no heart ailments whatsoever.
Mine is like a YoYo, LOL, I keep Giving my heart away and it keeps coming back,

Only you will be able to answer that question. Ask yourself am I ready to trust someone enough to give them my heart again? If you answer yes then I think your ready. Just remember there is a difference between lust, rebound and commitment!

when you feel your'e strong enough to not think or mention the past bf during the new date - cos if that's still buggin you from within, you're gonna mess up the next date anyway.
So check your own heart :)

there's no "right" time... there never was and there never will be! you go on a date whenever YOU "decide" to... it's all up to YOU, cos you're living your life in YOUR OWN reality, not what others have to say or think!
