when i was younger i did dabble with the board. however since i learned more of what it is all about i stand well away and will dabble no more. That must be almost 30 years now. Never was I in danger - all qustions were answered honestly and many times warnings were given. I will say on reflection I was very much looked after.
I now use Angel, Tarot and Fortune cards as also a book of ribbons. I use meditation which I do join with others in class. The main protection is always used individually and well as with the class and our mentor. Learn first the protection and the opening up to and closing down your link with spirit.
You cannot sit behind the wheeel of a car without a learning nor operate machinery without a learning. To link with spirit requires a great learning process which can take years. Always best to do so with others present for you may meet up with more than you bargain for - ending up with continuous company that can be detremental to your mental and physical health.
Do not listen to those that say it is the devils work. Many many messages come through which work better than any pill a doctor will prescribe - not than one can lay aside medication from our doctor that would be detremantal to your well being. Rather I speak of the smile than may shine from within knowing that a loved one watches over you still and the love you shared on this earth still grows for there is no divide twixt heaven and earth.
love and light

The experience can be dangerous if you do not know what you are getting into or you try it by yourself.
I have used one several times in a group of 3 or 4 without problem, but I sat in a room with someone who decided to screw around with a Ouija by themselves once. It resulted in some scary stuff - the effects of which were felt long after that person put the board away, essentially because the user decided that it was not necessary to say "Goodbye" to the spirit. Now that person's house is haunted.
The board itself does not have powers, but the spirits coming through it do.

Yeah, I have, although not in a while. the major misconception about them is that they have some sort of power in themselves, they do not. Ouija boards are only a means to focus and concentrate. The same results can be achieved with home made items as simple as a piece of wood with leters and numbers painted on it and an empty glass.
I've had a couple of experiences, one i had a glass candel break in an almost perfect circle after i asked the same question multimple times and got no answer. The candle was directly behind me. I have seen pointers move with no one touching them and have had a couple of time where I could feel intense physical pain upon asking a quesiton (Oddly enough always the same question). But beyond that things have been pretty tame. You just can never tell what kind of entity that will make contact.

Although I believe in divination I am extremely hesitant to put any faith in believing that a mass produced product by a game and toy company can channel voices from beyond the veil. There are much more reliable forms of divination. Personally, I prefer the elder Futhark, aka Norse Runes.

I usually go with other Parker Brothers' board games, such as Monopoly, when talking with spirits. I figure I want the ones that know a bit about real estate so I can get some pointers.

My advice is - stay away from ouija boards. You'll become demon possessed if you mess around with them. We have a pastor at our church who used to be a policeman involved with satanic related crime. God now uses him to deliver people from evil spirits through the power of Jesus Christ. I have personally witnessed him doing deliverance on someone, and I can tell you it's no joke when the devil controls you. It's not a game and it's not cool. Your entire life could be destroyed. God warns us in the Bible to stay away from these things.

Ouiji boards are only a game. What do you mean "dangerous"?

used to spy on older kids in the neighborhood but was creeped out when the glass (apparently) moved by itself. in college, sat in during sessions at the university paper's idle time; was skeptical about that because most of the staffers were crazies. now, i have acquaintances who have real experiences and all warn me not to get involved.

I never have. Have known people to have and they it has been terrifying. I mean, terrifying!
You open doors to all things Evil.
Anything to do with Tarot cards, crystal balls, mediums and Spirituality also - don't touch!
I do believe that evil spirits exist as well as believing in a God.

Yup, when I was young. Don't think it it ever worked. My brother freaked out the kid next door by pushing the glass to spell certain doom for him. That kid grew up in fear until my brother happened to meet him in a pub many years later and told him what he did... Hilarious.
Anyway, it's rubbish if you ask me and can only be harmful if you believe in it.
