Just start saying "Yes, I am... because I have nothing better to do with my time than to hear myself talk"

Or, just say "Why, yes I am, how did you know?

It may make them go huh? and become more aware.

Yes I am! I thought you just couldn't grasp the importance and intellectual magnitude of the level of conversation, so I cleverly disguised it as a joke to "kid you" about.
