"dragonflys" or more commonly known as "daddy longlegs" are actually Crane Flies. They only appear once Summer is over and the ground gets wet so that they can burrow their way out and fly around our houses. They are attracted to light, so head towards lamp shades, TV's, lamps etc. They only live for about 24 hours once they have left their nests and last for a period of approximatley 4 weeks. They will soon by gone, so bear with it.

to get rid of them, you need to get rid of thier food souce. which is most likely mosquitoes in your area.

Mosquitoes are naturally scared of the noise a dragonfly emits while flying around, but this noise probably attracts more dragonflys thinking that the hunting is good in that area.

So, the solution? Those citranella candles possibly. to make the mosquitoes move away from your house, and with the dragonflies with them.

i think i heard that they are attracted by fade green or lime light (or even light in general). you could try hanging a special bug repellent away from your door to attract them. but do you really wanna do that? they are so beautiful. i wish i had some near me.
