Just like what happened to Pope John Paul I? That might be the only hope for a new peace with the Muslim community.

Well, only God knows. As we all know we are nearing the end, and this is just the beginning of the birth pain mentioned in the scriptures.

Catholics and Muslims are all the same (religious wise), They don't know how to bridle their tongue. As the scripture says "Out of the abundance of the heart, man speaks"

If you think Pope Benedict might be done away with! Well am sure this is just the beginning.

Man's prefer religion first rather than God first.

GOD KNOWS BEST and God is a BETTER JUDGE than i. how can anyone of us -- ever know the hearts of another. i would just ask one question -- didnt he find these quotes?

Thomas Carlyle in 'Heroes and Hero Worship and the Heroic in History,' 1840
Mahatma Gandhi, a statement published in 'Young India,'1924.
Dr. William Draper in 'History of Intellectual Development of Europe
W. Montgomery Watt in 'Muhammad(saaw) at Mecca,' Oxford, 1953.
K. S. Ramakrishna Rao in 'Muhammad(saaw): The Prophet of Islam,' 1989
Jules Masserman in 'Who Were Histories Great Leaders?' in TIME Magazine, July 15, 1974
Gibbon in 'The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire' 1823

for a person of his caliber, he holds far more responsibilities. he should try bringing communities closer. instead he chose to quote a man who killed many people himself. shows the Ignorance, doesnt it?.

Pope JP1 - conspiracy theories aside - get real ; ) Pope Benedict did no more than quote from the past and the radical muslims showed the validity of the words he choose.

Not likely, but I think he needs an evaluation for senilty/alzheimers and in the very least needs a crash course internatl diplomacy. perhaps he needs to be a "behind the scenes" pope and have someone else give his speeches but I guess that wouldn't meet the job requirements....

Christianity is the best religion of the world. Catholics are the essential community for the global persistence (Gene modification, clonning matter, hybridization, miscarriage etc), we have to support pope activities, because terrorists attacks have been multi dimensional and they are proving their sucess.

Yes.
Actually I think he should voluntarily step down!
After all, he showed what an insensitive and stupid human being he is.
How can he be called "holy", when his actions indicate otherwise?
