Or is this just the proclaimed apocalypse in complex metaphorical translation?
I want to know how God will keep the earth inhabitable when so far when he hasn't done much to even prove his existance. I believe he's up there probably still working some miracles but he's just given up on our pathetic human race. Probably waiting for us to die so he can start all over again like he did with the dinosaurs.

Dinosaurs didn't die because of Darwin's Theory, if you want to get all scientific about it. They died bye two comets that plummeted the earth.
I am not blaming god even though my tone of voice does sound like it. I am just wondering if he's gonna do something about it.

Whether you know it or not, you answered your own question already. Will God do anything to prevent us from detroying OUR OWN planet? No. It's ours. He gave it to us to live on. We screwed it up. We suffer the consequences.

Well, from Christian doctrine, God gave you all free will to choose, and you all are choosing to destory your planet. He's probably a little ticked about it, but really it's His own fault for the free will thing.

From a Pagan point of view, we've been raping the Earth Mother for quite a long time, and I think it's quite obvious that She's starting to fight back. Polar ice caps melting, ravaging storms, deadly tsumanis. Has anyone noticed how screwy the weather has gotten over the last couple of years? All these mega tsumanis, megatyphoons, devestating earthquakes killing thousands of people.

Someone's trying to tell us something, whether you call it God or the Earth Mother, or whatever. And we will all perish (I'm sure God will take His chosen to wherever He's at) and the new Ice Age will come. And then it starts all over again. It's quite possible that this has already happened. Who knows? But how can you say, 'oh, no way, it can't start again' when a tree that lies dormant all winter miraculously sprouts seed during spring? Everything is reborn. Everything. Even this Earth.

Yes, at the last possible moment.
"For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened." (Matthew 24:21-22)

No, God has not given up on us, but all too many people have given up on God.

God knew, predicted and allowed this to happen, because man is not able to govern himself, and is not even wise enough to know it. We need to learn to do things God's Way if we want to live in peace and happiness. But most people don't know that yet. Nearly destroying this planet will help teach that lesson.

Re 21:1
Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.
The Lord will allow mankind to reach the brink of extinction, so that ALL creation will know & understand that without GOD in the picture of humanity, sin will prevail to to point of mankind's self destruction. Then mankind will fianlly understand the meaning & reason behind total obediance to the Lord. God is not waiting for mankind to self destruct so that He (God) can just start all over again like in the case of Noah. God wants there to be no more sin! and for those that believe that truth & want that kind of sinless existance, then reading & following the Scriptures would be highly recommended.

Dinosaurs died because of the theory "survival of the fittest". Why u call God for the mistakes done by our people and making him unhappy. We are the creator of our own destiny, we do bad things and we suffer in our next life and the chain continues with out break. To know more about this log on to

ok lets say hypotheticall ( for the atheists lol ) that God exists and is trying to do something to save this planet
lets say he has sent some wonderful scientists to tell us all to stop using our cars so much
lets say he has sent people of peace and healing to the world
lets say he has given us more than enough food to share with the world in hope that we share it equally
lets say he has given us the knowledge to treat many illnesses
lets say he has given us enough solar power to give us the energy we need without it destroying the eco system
lets say he has given us everything we need to survive....

ermmm .. actually .... we have all this dont we ?
lets say that perhaps it doesnt matter if we believe God gave us all these things or not .... we still dont make a difference !

I understand that He will step in just the moment before we destroy ourselves. I think He likely shakes His head in dismay at how we relate to each other here on Earth. We have wasted His creation on hate inside of enjoying it and sharing it with love.

If there is a god floating around somewhere, I don't see why it would. If we are so destructive that we destroy our own planet then maybe we don't deserve to exist.
