IC and Chip are both same. Integrated Circuit Chip!!!!

Technically the chip is only the semiconductor portion of an IC. However, the terms are used interchangeably in the industry.

The chip is embaded on the circuit where as IC is a chip in a plastic moulding with 'legs' on.

The chip is essentially the wafer with the circuit on. An IC is such a chip in a plastic moulding with 'legs' on to allow it to be inserted into a circuit board.

None really. An integrated circuit is anything from a few to hundreds of millions of electronic components like diodes, transistors, capacitors and resistors on a semiconductor chip.
