Also it is important to replace one bad habit with a good one.

When I use to spar, I sometimes closed my eyes before receiving a blow to the face. To stop myself from doing that, I smacked myself in the face each time I closed my eyes. So... everytime you catch yourself biting your nails, smack yourself. You'll quit in no time.

Keep reminding yourself about how germy everything you touch is and that you are putting icky fingers in your mouth. It is bad for your teeth as well. And I have heard that if you swallow your nails that they can get stuck in your intestinal track.

Clear fingernail polish on them....hot sauce....put things on your nails that arent to tasty to keep them out of your mouth.
