by telling atheists they are going to hell is insulting them or scaring them? you might as well tell them the boogey man is going to get them. if you tell them that after you get control of the government through bribery, blackmail and insideous pressure, your 'christiban' regime will burn them publically for heresey on a pyre of books and works of art you might get some results. but that would be letting the cat out of the bag. ps would you let cats out of bags , as they are witches familiars would they have to burn too.

Dorothy Parker had a good response to the "You're going to hell" line:

Who love not wisely but too well
Shall look on Helen's face in Hell,
While those whose love is thin and wise
May view John Knox in Paradise.

Because they don't truly understand that our faith is in this life and living it rather than some cheese about some guy with a beard sitting on a cloud.

As for burning heretics, I think they may have figured out that this would be frowned upon by God, as it is all about free will baby. They can spread the word like manure, but if we don't believe, there is nowt they can do. Doesn't mean that they won't try like!

Um... I'm christian and I don't have a clue as to what you're talking about. First of all it would be stupid to try and get through to an athiest by telling them that they're goin to hell because they don't believe in God and if they don't believe in God they believe in Devil so they don't believe in Hell either so what would be the point exactly?

Blah, Blah, Blah. Christians are witches, ramblings. That is just nonsense. If anyone tells you anything, it is to try to save your soul. It is between you and God, I have never told anyone that, but if you want to know what Jesus said, just read the Bible. If you do not believe, yes, there are some things, like not going to Haven, etc. if people do not want to believe, then just do not go on and on about the religion, just do not believe and find out when you die. That is all I can say, just find out.

yeah, um...the funny thing is....TRUE christians should know they do not have the right to condemn. this is why i don't practice religion or go to church. i actually went to a church that said that missing a sunday was a sin and if you missed more....guess what??? hell!!! that's such b.s. i believe that everyone is entitled to their beliefs and to tell the truth...u do notice most religions believe in a one god, right??? how do we know it's not the same one, truly?? they all call him something different and he is supposed to be able to appear differently to everyone.

anyways, like i said all people are entitled to their beliefs, my ex and the father of my child was a satanist-and that does not mean devil worshipper for those who wanna say "oh, my god!"

haha...great question...of course as you say theres no point telling people that dont believe in heaven/hell that theyre gonna go there...oooooo scary...actually animals were accused of witchcraft and burned/hung too...and people were also accused of witchcraft for having give their pets unfortunate names that were apparently the names of imps and demons...what a bunch of crap...there were tens of thousands of people tortured and murdered in the name of christianity for witchcraft and heresy...men women children and animals...in any other language this would translate as massacre...holocaust...mass murder...etc but all of this was acceptable for the strive to stamp out the old pagan faiths...it didnt work...it lives on...and that just goes to prove what a pointless bigoted exercise it all was...shame on all you pagan burning christians...i follow the old pagan ways and wouldnt harm any of you...gives food for thought eh??? good question

Oh your given folks to much credit here.... a wise person that is firm in their fundamental belief will not be distracted or discouraged by any religious zealot.

IF you believe in "hell" then its clear that you have created it for you to believe it and that "fear" is part of your life [sad reality if you ask me].

You know full well its "not" just Christians, they really are the only ones with the cash to have that crap on TV. ha ha.

Mmm good point... But then again, hasn't everyone got a feeling in the back of their mind like, what if it is true? Don't you ever wonder that?

the reason christians think that telling us we are going to burn in hell is because they like to think that we secretly believe in their god and so we will automatically be scared into becoming as brain washed as they are.

Christains are very special people you know, they are choosen by God. They are the only ones going ito heaven.

God has spoken to their heart and they know that it is true. You are just jealous because you are going to burn in hell for using your intellence.
