You know you just hear of so much crime, not just robberies, but killing and so much toward children. Killing, raping, kidnapping, going into their homes even, what is it with children? Only a devil would do some of these crimes, sellilng them into sex slavery? When I was young, my Dad used to let me off in a downtown city, and come and pick me up. I shopped for Christmas, with a small amount of money. He told me to be at a certain corner and I did. No one thought about Pedephiles, killers, and such then, but today, it is everywhere. Christ warned of if one hair on a child's head is harmed, he was going to do something, (send them to hell) , I guess or worse, if there is such a thing. I was about 12 yrs old in Dallas, Texas. which was over 50 yrs ago. What are your thoughts?

Yes, all the passages of Scripture which outline the last days, show us that we are in that season right now. Wars, rumours of wars, pestilances, famine, nation rising against nation, children disobeying parents, increased knowledge, all these things have escalated in a way which the world has not known before.
It is important that we spread the message of the Gospel, and that we ourselves are ready for the coming of the Lord.

Peopl have been predicting the 'end days' for millenia. Just look at the horrors of the plagues (millions and millions wiped out) and the two world wars and today's events pale in comparison. When you think that the negative things such as pedophilia didn't exist years ago, they did -- we've advanced tremendously in our understanding and open discussion of things. The 1950s' lack of openness and discussion allowed for the sexual abuse of boys by priests to go on. My homosexual friend was raised during the 1950s and, because of the unevolved attitudes (societal and medical) towards homosexuality, he like many others became a severe alcoholic (the experience is very different for kids today). Blacks and others didn't have equal rights. The list goes on and on.

You need to bone up on some history. Are we talking just America and only for 50 yrs? If we're talking longer than that then no, I don't think now is the worst it's been even though I do think we have problems with violence and hate in the world. I think that children have more advocates and charitys for them now then ever before. I don't think violence/abuse towards them was reported as much or as sensationalized in the news as much as it is now.
There has been murder, rape, mutilation, pedophelia, mass slaughterings, violence against children, women, men, gays, the elderly, etc. throughout time. History tells us that there have been brutal people and practices around forever. We have more news sources and more freedom of speech nowadays so I think we get saturated with the really bad things.

It's a little late here for me to be searching bible quotes but doesn't God kill some children in the bible? I'm not trying to start anything here but is it New Testament Vs. Old Testament teachings or is God allowed to do those things?

According to Revelations, that all took place 1000 years ago. And the devils have been running things ever since.
St. John said that the end days would take place in a thousand years (that was 2000 years ago). So if the Bible is literally true, then it has already happened. If on the other hand parts of it need "interpretation" by "experts", then you can make your own interpretation.
God is not just our parent, but our friend as well. We do not need people to tell us what a loving parent would want us to do. The religion business has no Honor.
