Actually if you take a look at the Qran, their Holy Book you'll notice that it does not preach violence, it preaches principles of behaviour very close to those recommended, say, in the Bible. And it even recognises Jesus, son of Mary and of the "spirt of God".
But like always with mankind, instead of reading the source book, lots of people are lazy and prefer to let some idiot dictate them their behaviour, even if that behaviour is at odds with the book.
Think about Catholics as another example. Does the Bible say you have to wage religious wars, like the Crusades? Nowhere. Does the Bible say you have to resort to force to "convert" "primitive" populations? Nowhere. Does the Bible say that you should have idols, i.e. statues, tons of which can be found in Catholic churches? No, it expressely forbids them. Does the Bible say that you should have multiple sub-gods, recycled from the deities of the Egyptians or the Romans, and pray to them? No, it states that there is one single God. And so on.

i am strongly agree with you..but what is your guarantee that others will live in peace without the muslims community..i bet you have none..all religions promote peacefull..we just have to learn how to respect others believe..the world was not made for certain religions followers but for us all the mankind and also other creatures including animals and plants..
