It can be a sign of santanism, but at the same time it can also be a sign for wicca. Some covens use them that way it does not mean always that it is evil....Many religions have used a pentagram for there beliefs just like the triqota. It can be used by christian but it also represents pagan. Like the cross can be worn upside down also and it has yet another meaning.

Many symbols have many diffrent meaning's I believe it is what it stands for in your eyes (if you are the one wearing it)

The pentagram, or five-pointed star, symbolically represents man. It represents the five senses, and other sets of five qualities (i.e. discernment, analysis, naming, recognising, assimilating). It is also a kind of crude hieroglyphic representation of man with the head, two arms and two legs as the five points of the star. On the inside of the star is a pentagon, which represents the will.
When the three points are at the top, it is seen as a sign of upward evolution with the will (pentagon) pointing down to ground the union of the senses with phenomena.
When the three points are at the bottom, it is seen as a sign of downward evolution with the will (pentagon) pointing up to impose the (individual, selfish) will on the situation.
There are other interpretations of this, including some that do not see the inverted pentagram as negative but rather as a sign of indwelling inspiration.
These signs require much study, thought, reflection, meditation and generosity. It is not easy or really possible to do them justice in a forum like this.
good luck

It shows that Satan is in control of the people who display it that way. At least if it is carved on a temple that's what it means.
