The word "antichrist" is used in different ways. If it is referred to in religious discussion, it is pointing to a prophecy from Revelations in the Bible. The prophecy is written in highly symbolic language and can't be taken literally. You wouldn't expect a sea monster to come out of the sea with seven heads and ten crowns--but if that's the kind of thing that you'll find in Revelations! If you think that's really going to happen, you probably don't have the intelligence to ponder the prophecies with any correct intuition. Rather than trying to connect the prophecy with current events, it makes more sense to see if there is a truth being offered that applies to us regardless of what is happening in history. It may be enough to think of the antichrist as part of the unfolding of the world's destiny. We can't be sure even that the antichrist is supposed to be a human being, so for all we know it could be some kind of movement or something. Remember that the Bible refers to the church as the "body of Christ," so sometimes these terms are conceptual. Many Christians think that the antichrist will be a political leader who will come to power and lead the world on a path of destruction, sort of like Hitler did, only worse. That's a pretty scary idea, huh?! But there are other ways to think about this concept. For example, the pastor at my church thinks that in biblical numerology, 999 means perpetual abundance, so 666 (the so-called "mark of the beast") is simply 999 turned upside down, indicating that God's blessings can't flow to us when we aren't open to Him. So in the same way, if Christ is God's expression of Love, Redemption and Salvation for mankind, perhaps the "antichrist" is just the situation in which those things can't reach us... and we have to go through that condition for a while in order to come to God's final plan for peace.
Sometimes, the word "antichrist" is used as a cultural "button." There was a famous punk rocker who wrote a song called "I am the Anti-Christ" and he was just trying to ruffle people's feathers by being outrageous in a teenage rebellion kind of way. Also you might hear someone talk about someone they hate by sarcastically calling them the "antichrist."
There is an interesting idea that everything in nature has dual expressions... so there is matter and anti-matter. If you ponder that, it might make sense that christ and antichrist are somehow manifested as opposite forces. But if you're a Christian, you can take comfort in the words "I am the alpha and the omega" [the beginning and the end] which comes from that same book of Revelations and tells us that God's reach encompasses everything and there is no duality to God's nature. I hope that helps you!

The Antichrist is a man that Satan has ready to take over the world. He will promise peace, and then in 3 years he will start an all out war. He can perform miracles just like Jesus, but he is evil. He will turn many people away from the one true God. He will claim he is god. He can change peoples minds, and make them do what he wants. He is very devious. Read the Left Behind Series, and also the book of Daniel, and Revelations in the Bible. He is here to destroy peoples lives. I believe he is alive today.

Okay "the antichrist" is not a man, but a system called Babylon, which is headed by a man. The devil himself will try to appear as Jesus, and many will be deceived.
Okay, lets look at a few verses in Daniel and Revelation talking about the beast power, which is headed by the man with the number 666.
Dan 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns.
Okay so the power is diverse, and had 10 horns. Now lets look what horns are.
Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
They are kings, or small kingdoms, and again we see that another horn will arise which is diverse, and it would destroy 3 horns (or 3 kings)
lets look at history, Europe use to have 10 kingdoms, today it only has 7. The Vandals, Heruli, and the Ostragoths were destroyed by Rome between 490-538 AD.
There are so many points pointing to the antichrist in the Bible, but noone studies anymore to find out. I'll give you one more point which points to the antichrist, or beast power. Remembering that beast's are kingdoms
Dan 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Now lets look at this last verse.
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Rome tortured and killed millions of Bible reading Christians as heretics. The inquisition alone killed over 250,000. Mostly by tying them to the stake and burning them alive. This is wearing out the saints as saints are those who follow Jesus. (rev 14:12)
The Roman church also changed times and laws. Check a catechism for the 10 commandments, then compare it to exodus 20 or deuteronomy 5. The 2nd commandment condemning statues has been removed. The 4th commandment has been shortened, and the 10th commandment has been split in 2 to make it seem like they have 10 still.
also lets look at "time and times and the dividing of time" a time is one year (or one jewish year consisting of 360 days) times is two years, and half a time is half a year. Which adds up to 1260 days. Looking at Ezekiel 4:4-6 it talks about the Lord giving one day for a year. Also if you dont think a time is a year, look at Rev 13:5; it says it in 42 months (1260 days).
Anyway, in 538 the Justinian decree went forth giving the pontiff of rome supreme power over all churches, and over all of rome. All those who would not submit to the pope were killed, but most followed him. In 1798 Nepolean's best general Berthiere; marched into the Vatican, after fighting his way through, captured the pope, and put an end to the reign of Rome. The pope also died.
this is a period of exactly 1260 years.
I would like to tell you more, but I don't think you would read it all, and i don't want to type everything all up. If you want to know more about the Bible, or the antichrist (this is the tip of the ice berg) drop me and email at c0d14@hotmail.com
God Bless!!

In Christian eschatology and Islam, the Antichrist, Anti-christ or Dajjal (literally: anti, opposite; christ, messiah) has come to mean a person, image of a person, or other entity that is the embodiment of evil and utterly opposed to truth, according to Christianity, while convincingly disguised as wholly good and a bringer of truth. Modern associations with the term Antichrist--no doubt made to stir controversy--have ranged from Mikhail Gorbachev and Bill Clinton to the U.S. children's TV character Barney.

If you read the Book of Revelations, you will find what the Antichrist is.
You will also learn that the "Rapture" took place a thousand years ago, if you believe that every word in the Book is literally true.
Some feel that G.W.B. may be the Antichrist, but that gives him more credit for organised thought than he seems to possess.

The Antichrist is called the "Dajjal" in Islam
He is a man from among the Jews
He will have an inscription on his forehead in Arabic, which will read "Disbeliever"
He will claim to be God, and mislead some of the people
He will not be able to gain access to Makkah and Madina in Saudi Arabia, because special angels are guarding these 2 cities.
He will be slain by Jesus (Peace be upon him)

People have different ideas of what the antichrist is. Sometimes people think of it as just one man who will head the new world order and try to dominate everyone and control their finances.
I believe that the bible mentions "the spirit of the antichrist" which just means(to me) an evil spirit who trys to turn everyone against chirst.
In other words- it is the devil.

Anti Christ is the one who is against the Christ of God.
Those who have the spirit of anti christ deney Father & Son. (God the Father and Jesus Christ the Son).
It has been prophecied in the Bible that God's Kingdom of love and peace will be established in the earth and Jesus Christ will be the King.
But Satan want to establish his Kingdom peace through sword to be established on earth.
According to the prophecies, the Anti Christ will first establish his Satanic Kingdom of peace in the world.
Being influenced by Satan He will make a peace treety with Israel the chosen nation of God.
But for the reason of peace itself so many people will be killed and go on killing.
His peace process will be terminating those who dont accept him.
He dont allow any one to trade(to buy for his hunger and needs) with out his mark ie the mark of worship.
He with his armies fight against the Christ returns with the heavenly hosts.
But he will be defeated and will be imprisoned.
Then the Kingdom of God wil be established.
1 John 2 - 22Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
Revelation 6 : 2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. (the man sitting with a bow on the white horse indicate the weapon and white horse: peace)
4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. (Red horse indicate blood shed)
Revelation 13 :16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
Revelation 20 : 1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
NB: The beast represent the Satanic ruler

The Bible refers to anyone who is or teaches anything against Christ, the truth, God or his Church, is anti-christ. It also says that there will be many anti-christs. But it also infers that there will be one person specifically call The Anti-christ. This is more than likely the popular name for the "false prophet" mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
The false prophet will be a religious leader in who works with the beast (the king of the end-time community of nations that fights against the returning Christ) to deceive the whole world into following the new world order, in an attempt to bring peace to a worldwide chaos.

In summary, the Anti-Christ is supposed to be someone basically "pretending" to be the second-coming of Christ.... and gaining followers... with a plot to carry out evil intentions.
