This guy has been talking to my best friend and telling her that he likes me and she told me about it and I don't like him, I want to tell him before he asks me out or something but he doesn't know I know and I don't want him to get mad at my best friend for telling me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you are looking for an excuse to bring up the conversation without bringing your best friend into it, see if you Can get another friend to help: she can hang around you at times when the guy is most likely to see you and then she can catch him looking at you (she should look straight at him when she sees him looking at you). After a few times of her catching him looking at you, you now have a very plausible reason to conclude that you suspect he likes you and can then initiate the conversation.
For the conversation itself, be open and honest, but gentle. Try imagining yourself in his position and think about how you would want to be told. But be firm and make sure you leave no room for misunderstandings or false hope. That's the kindest thing you can do, even if it doesn't seem like it at the time.

Wait for his approach...don't say anything until he actually say that he's interested, to keep from letting on that your friend has told you anything. When he finally tell you what he intends then...
Tell him that the Guy that you have in mind, the LORD is sending him and he's not the one...that you would rather 'WAIT ON THE LORD".
When the LORD sends him you'll know because the two of you will automatically LOVE one another for no reason, and the LORD will be in your conversation on your date and it will be the best time you've ever had on any date. for the two of you...you'll see..

When you talk to him next talk about how you are so glad you don't have a boyfriend right now, and how it is awesome to have a guy friend that you can just be friends with. Concentrate that his friendship means alot to you, more so that anything else. Hope it all works out!

U need to show it with your behavior.
If u already have a bf then speak to him near this guy so that he may have and idea about it.
If u don't have one do it with a friend.stand within earshot of him and speak about your crush on a guy other than him.also try to make him hear how u don't like something in people,something which he has.In short convey ur feeling for him

As your friend seems to hold his secrets so well, maybe she should be the one to say look I sounded her out, but sorry she doesn't like you in that way. And if he asks you out, maybe you could be washing your hair every night for the rest of your life!!

tell him that you don't see yourself in that kind of relationship with him, tell him you just want to be mates and don't lead him on in any way as this would be cruel honesty is the best policy here before someone really gets hurt

Wow, just like my friend's case. Well, I think you should wait for him to ask you out and then you deny his asking. Maybe he will know at that time that you're not interested in him.

If he asks, just say you aren't interested right now, you have alot going on at home. "It's not a good time for me to get involved".

why don't you get your best friend to tell him that you have a boyfriend and that way he won't ask you out. and then a few days later you can pretend that you broke up with your pretend boyfriend and that way you don't hurt his feelings either.
