Why do some people who claim to be democrats [philosophically speaking] only support the idea of 'majority rules' when that majority agrees with them? And when that majority supports something that is contrary to their own beliefs - anchor themselves to the 'it is divisive' argument. The overwhelming majority of Americans believe in God. Perhaps the onus - therefore - is on those who do NOT believe in God to exercise a little more tolerance. Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

The "In God We Trust" motto is one of those things I refer to as "cosmic dandruff". Yes, it's annoying, but it's pretty darn meaningless in the grand scheme of things. If I wanted to spend all my time fighting bad stuff, there are a million other battles I'd pick before I got around to that one.
It would be amusing, though, to mint a bunch of coins that said "In Tooth Fairy We Trust"!

It is not offensive, inaccurate, or divisive to those in the Kingdom of God... It is actually the opposite. It is those things only to those who walk in darkness; God haters, rebels, and sin-hearts. Why not give your life a chance and ask Jesus into your heart so that your darkened heart may breathe the air of heaven instead of the foul odors of the land of good and evil? c'mon in, there's still room!

Atheists should get over their affront at the US government having such a motto. The concept that God or whatever divine gave us our rights,
keeps the government from claiming that it grants us our rights. The rights and privileges we do get from the government are provisional, like a drivers license. They can be revoked.

Ok, first of all, this country was founded by our ancestors. And they founded it IN GOD. So as far as I'm concerned if you don't like it choose a different country and go live there for the rest of your life and take all your liberal, athiest friends with you. You'd definetely do the rest of us a favor. And that goes for anyone who doesn't like something about this country. IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE WAY WE DO IT, GET OUT!!!

So is the IRS, but I haven't been able to do a damn thing about them yet. Luckily, I do trust in God.

"In Secularism We Trust"...well how about it and why not? This is a motto everyone should be able to support...it is all inclusive.

That's your opinion...an opinion of one. What's your point...that we should all think like you. It was good enough for our fore fathers. America has survived, and its good enough for me. If you are truly interested in making a change, why don't you change yourself for the better and relax on trying to change others.
