Well, alot of horrible things have been done in the name of God. This does not mean that God has done these things. However, the church is run by people who are inherently imperfect. With that I say, no the Catholic church is not at fault. If they were to be held accountable for some of the fault, everyone who could have made a difference but didnt is at fault. The true person who is to blame is Hitler and his Henchmen.

You are incorrect Eugenics involves the the process of Natural Selection, it speeds up the process to weed out the "bad" or "inferior" ones. Therefore, Evolution and Eugenics are intertwined.

Read a little on the Free Mason's connection to Hitler and the Catholic Church and the Mormon Church and World leaders and Generals and Military Symbols that are all inter linked......Makes for good reading, then you decide. Why do all these entities use the same Symbol's?

impossible to gauge, but certainly the strong antisemitic history of christianity did not help.

Update: Adhygte -- Besides the oft argued antisemitic nature of the new testament itself, "roman catholocism" represented christianity as a whole for a long time. That it makes you uncomfortable, as a christian, to recognize the awful history of your religion is understandable, but it is not grounds for the artificial claim that "they weren't true christians", as I so often hear missionaries tell me these days.

you cannot blame the church for the fanatics. the church is initially peaceful.

however, you CAN blame the pope for not the responding to the jews' cries for help when they issued them. but you cannot blame the church for the pope either.
