The insurgents are just a rag tag group of men with no advanced weapons. So why do the USA Marines run from the Insurgents? ( Note: Saw it on CNN news )

I have been in the Army for over 4 years and have fought along side marines in Afghanistan and i have never once saw a marine or soldier run. If anything the marines will send in more and more marines until the threat is neutralized. Stop watching CNN, join the military and see for yourself before you make statements that marines are running off. you have no idea.

AK47s and RPGs will cut you in half and splatter your brains. Ragtag insurgents are limited to hit-&-run guerilla warfare (originally pioneered by Americans) - nothing more. You can't judge men's courage with a fleeting glimpse of marines running - media has its own agendas.
The US Armed Forces (air, sea, land) are the BEST in the world and has won every battle big and small in Iraq and Afghanistan. If and when they 'lose', chances are it's some political decision affecting the outcome. On their own, the US men and women of the military are awesome. (Note: Faith in Americans)

I have been to Iraq twice and I will tell you from first hand experience WE DON'T RUN. But we do have to follow the rules.. The Insurgents are cowards and hide every chance they get. and quite a few times send children to do there dirty work.. The bad guys don't follow the rules of combat. They are the real cowards who run scared every day.. If they are so good, why is it that during the war they were surrendering to Camera crews !!!!

Because the insurgents hide amongst the houses, crowds, etc. Innocents.
If we let had the US military cut loose, they would have taken care of Iraq, once and for all.
At a cost of tens of thousands of (Iraqi) lives.
That's a choice we just won't make. So, sometimes I guess discretion is the better part of valor.

They know the layout of the land intimatly, they have powerful weapons, and they have the power of fanatic religion on their side. These people are not afraid of dying, from what I can tell, there is no fear. They can handle the extreme heat of the desert, know how to live in the desert for an extended amount of time, probably have word-of-mouth for communication, which can only take you so far, but as far as you need to go.

Marines are not scared of anything this I know from personal experience. Our president just turned down a chance to debate with the president of Iran and he is the one that sends the orders to the Marines and the rest of the United States Armed services to go fight and die. The Marines are all volunteers and most of the ones out there have extended their time of service because they beleive in what they are doing. If you think that you know a scared marine I dare you to go call him a coward or for that matter call his president a coward you might live longer.
