Why isn't there a lot of single fathers?

There are alot of single fathers, most of them just don't have the kids. In custody cases, the mother tends to get the kid either more often or have full custody of them. Another reason could possibly be deaths of the fathers (as in my own case).

Growing up children is better done by mothers.The judicial systems knows this and custody of Children are mostly given to Mothers.This is the reason why there are more single mothers than fathers.Having kept children in their body for nine months the mother develop stronger bond with their children ( and vice verse) and mothers are children prefer to be together.an Indian proverb says " If one of the parent has to die Let the mother doing manual work live and let the rich father die "

some men walk away and some women push them away or make their lives a living hell that they give up. Women can get a restraining order in my state by crying and lieing- keeping their children's father away from the children for years.
Courts favor mothers even if she is isn't a responsible mom. Some dads are better parents.

There are alot of single fathers. It takes two to make a baby. They just don't want the responsibility of a child so they skip town.

theres more fathers bringing up children on there own than we realise. but yes there are more single mothers than fathers because without sounding detrementel towards men, unfortunetly there are a lot who walk away.because they can. women tend not to have that choice. they are bound to there children emotionally in a way that is very hard to walk away from due to pregnancy. birth. etc. but, for every man that walks away from his child. theres thousands that dont :)

Most of the time, it's a lot easier for men to just...leave. They don't feel like they are really tied to anything. I would give my life for my son and I would do anything to protect him. When I asked a man, if he would do ANYTHING for his child he said he'd have to consider it. That's the difference right there and that's why women get the custody. Most of us, have an unbreakable relationship with our children since pregnancy...men do not.

Courts will always side with a mother as long as she is stable enough.
I don't agree with the bonding issue...I know plenty of fathers who would do a better job of raising their kids and the bond is just as strong.

Our biology creates an attachment with our babies so we don't want to leave them. Your hormones make you love your baby.
Also, when a woman is pregnant it is much easier for the man to leave than the woman.
If a couple splits up, usually the man will not igve up his career to be with his children, and the mother gets custody.

beause moms understand kids and care for kids more than dads do...no offence but there a lot of single moms becoz they were pregnant becoz of a 1 night stand and stuff

i know some single dads just alot of men dont care but i think its the same because i know alot of women who dont care
