i am bleeding really badly from my hand and i have tried to stop it have applied at tight bandage to stop it but it won't work not even after 15 mins, should i fix the bleeding myself or go to the hospital and get it stitched up, i have rubber disposibel gloves and i'm not sure how to apply the butterfly strips but i doubt they would work

If it hasn't stopped by now, you should definitely go to the hospital.

If its been 15 minutes, you can probably control it. You won't really have any adverse effects from the blood loss but honestly you probably need stitches. Go to the ER. You may fix the short term problem (stopping the bleeding) but you may pay for it in the long term with an infection. And to be honest, if you don't know enough about the right way to address the wound to be posting here, you could lose your hand. Not to be an alarmist but seriously, why take the chance of something like a staph infection? Go to the ER.

There might be a cut vein in the wound. Get a fresh bandage on the wound, apply pressure directly to the wound and get to a hospital for stitches.

Firstly besides your tight bandage you have to stay as still as you can, moving around only pumps your blood faster. If this does not help stem the flow then a trip to the hospital is what is needed.

I sugest you go at the clinic right away.I know it's not fun to go there and wait, I know it's very depressing and all that, but it's worth having a doctor checking it out. You don't want to take that matter into your own HANDS!

go see a doictor dont take chances. if it is bleeding that bad you should already be at the doctor as opposed to asking the internet?????

i would probably go to hosp, how are you typing with a bloody hand? put some ice on it to freeze and clot the bleeding. but go to the hosp!
