If they are both working and in good condition, offer them to a food bank or similar program - and you get an income tax deduction in the process. Everyone wins.

Look in the newspaper classifieds or craigslist for companies that haul off junk. Of course the company will just be a guy with a truck.

Many local communities have programs for this. Mine does. Once/year they come around and collect major appliances and other trash too big for the usual trash pickup. Others do it upon request. Call your local government and ask.

put an ad in your local paper " free chest freezer & refrigerator" good for parts, if they want it they have to haul it away, you might be surprised, as to how many people like things for parts.

We can "sell" it, or give it to our servants (to sell).
