It will be very helpful, if you could provide some statistics or point to some web locations, which explains your point numerically.

Just read your driver's manual for this information. Remember driver training about following distances, time to brake, etc.? Well, when you factor in the idea that motorcycles speed up quicker and slow down quicker (effects of intertia, of course, or lack thereof in a significantly smaller vehicle), and the lack of 4 sides to crumple and bend to remove collision speed, then you have a death trap.

As an example, I was in an unavoidable accident in which I was front-ended by a car doing 90. My Tercel crumpled completely. However, the car the man was driving was also another lightweight Toyota AND he hit a curb prior to me, both of which saved my life. Had he had a heavier car, I would have been dead. I have no numerical proof, I just have basic common sense with this.

Look too at insurance rates. First, some companies refuse to insure motorcycles, period. Wonder why? Next, the rates themselves are rather significant. Part of that is due to the fact that motorcycles and their drivers are capable of (and more likely to achieve) very high speeds. The other side is the relative safety of the driver. In an accident with ANYTHING bigger, the motorcycle will come out the loser. And with motorcycles, almost everything else out there is bigger ... even, goodness gracious, that little old Tercel I totaled back in the good old days.

Well, common sense should tell you that a motorbike is definitely out. While I always wanted a street-sport bike, my dad advised me to just stay off-road with the two-wheelers. One of his co-workers died just leaving work. Apparently, a Tahoe nudged him off the road, and he went off into some divider thing...all in all, he had his arm torn off and is now dead.

As dear ol' dad puts it, motorcycles are too fun for the road.

Even if the Tahoes are a bit big, even an iddy bitty Honda will do the trick.

Four wheels are safer than two, but not as much fun.
