We are thinking of traveling from Los Angeles to Orlando by a motorhome. Is it more economical that way or renting a car and staying in motels etc.It will be from the 26th Dec to 9th Jan.There are 3 adults.

I did it with my parents as a teenager. It depends if you want to make a few stops at a few hot spots on the way...

I would take a motor home if you know ur family members aren't going to get on your nerves.... Its also a good way to spend time with your family members. You are less restricted in some ways..... but more in others..

We enjoyed out trip very much. A lot more room, cook/eat, sleep and bathroom breaks when ever needed...

i would think cost would be the same- hotel room- versus motor home gas,, etc

if u do decide to stay at hotels- try to have ur trip planned out- & what hotels are on the way.. Sign up for the frequest guest program & earn the miles...

We did it some years ago, but had a special offer for one way travel , because normally you will be charged with horrible one-way-fees . You have to check with the various RV-Companies, if they have a special .
Otherwise, car rental companies do charge fees , too .
I enjoyed the RV Travel very much, we visited Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands and Big Bend NP, but didn't stop at any big cities, because with a RV it's not very comfortable to drive in the cities and most campground are not very close located to any city center and there is no public transport.

So , it depends on, what you want to visit.

So, have a nice day and greetings from Germany
