Your hands, face and hair are more exposed at any time of the year than any other part of your body. Many people think that the hands get dirtier than any other body part but this is not true. The face and hair are almost always exposed and are washed less than any other part, you also touch your face with your hands more than you realize. For the past week or so you have become exposed to something you have not encountered in the past or you have been over exposed to an irratant. You will have to give careful thought to whether you are doing anything new these past days or if you are exposed to any one thing that you have not had much contact with before. Also, If you are a woman you may have changed a brand of makeup that you apply with your hands to your face. Hope you figure it out and can get some releif.
Just one helpful hint. The best home remedy for burns or to draw out toxic chemicals from the skin is instant mashed potatoes. You mix them as suggested on the package but do not heat the water and do not add butter. Place the paste on the affected area for 5 to 10 minutes several times a day. The wetter the paste the better it will hold to the skin and draw out the toxins.

You may have nerodermatitis. If there is a history of asthma, sinus problems or allergies in your family, then you are a good candidate for this diagnosis. If so, run to your dermatologist for treatment. you dont need to suffer endlessly, and you will suffer endlessly unless you get help. My son has this problem. It's worse in the winter. The doc. gave him a special soap to use when washing. He is not allowed to use regular soap. If you do dishes, you have to wear gloves! He has to take antihystamines fo rthe itching and swelling. We also put on him a great lotion called "Excipial, 4% Urea" and it helps a lot. Use it right after showering, and before going to bed. Also, any other itme you feel necessary. In the areas his skin is affected, he was prescribed Protopic and after using it for 3 days, his skin is like new. Don't know if you need a prescription for it though. If you are diagnosed with Neurodermatitis, you should ask your doctor to refer you for allergy testing. If you can discover the source of the problem, then your symptoms will diminish. My son turned out to be allergic to so many foods and to dustmites (they live in your mattress!!) so now that he avoids the sources, his skin is better. Good luck.

if i were you ,i visit a doctor for exact physical exam. itching is a sign of some health problems. easiest ones are skin problems (dry skin,...), alergia and so on. but you should notice that liver problems can also cause itching. i don't want to make it complex but visiting a doctor is the best way
