Is that all "believers" are doing when they ask questions about other faiths? Just baiting the nonbelievers?

I'm an atheist and pose many of the same questions I asked myself when I was a Christian. The purpose being to see how others answer those questions.

Your assertion they are being "baited" is incorrect. They are being given the opportunity to proselytize and promote their beliefs.
