I heard someone say it the other day... what does it mean? And is it by any chance a derivative of "holy windy?"

I would assume it is the opposite of "ill wind". If not, it must mean fart. I have never heard that expression and would like to know how you heard it used.

It refers to a posterial gaseous discharge that occurs in an open hallway instead of a just-evacuated elevator and is usually stated as an appreciative compliment by a friend who is leaving the elevator with the discharger. (I may be stretching the definition a bit here, OK?)

The "holy windy" term is used when a church has just been left by the discharger and a friend.
