Why do some people try to defend Islam by comparing it to Hitler?

They say stupid S.hit like "Oh ya well why did hitler kill all those people for Christianity" or "what about the crusades"
If your comparing the today's islamic world to this kind of stuff don't you see the problem.

Lemme see..Hitler was a fascist that used the convert or die method...Islamic fascists seem to run the Middle East, and Saddam had this thing against the Kurdish people, liked to torture and kill them...Islam is commanded in the Koran to convert people with the sword if they refuse...lots of suicide bombers murdering innocent people....hummmm I am seeing some correlations here.

Even I wonder.
Hitler targeted a particular sect of ppl but islamist fanatics have targeted the entire humanity. Not that I'm trying to defend Hitler.He was 1 detestful creature.But that was the past.I don't see any Christian fanatics these days.Ppl talk about KKK, but I think it was more racial than religious & as said, it doesn't exist now.
Hindus, Buddhists, Jains & even Christians don't keep shouting about their religion being the religion of peace ( & I think they don't need to.It's quite obvious). Sorry to say this, but Islam is the only religion which says so (maybe 'cause they need to) & thr's nothing to support it.Such is the condition in 2day's world that if some terrorist/militant is caught or if some person indulges in some sort international terror plot, he turns out to be a Muslim, hands down.Now don't talk about other militant outfits. Face the fact - no other militant outfit is as notorious as the al Qaeda, Let,....................
Exactly bro, they don't see the prob. There might be some peace-loving ppl in their religion (I've had the opportunity to meet them & yes, they were absolutely fab ppl. I certainly do have to accept that) but the WORLD'S most violent & bloodthirsty ppl are also found in the same religion.

Comparing it to Hitler is just an argument of people who want to deviate from what is really happening to the world today. The real message is to Islamize the whole world and they are trying to cite the crusade to justify what they are actually doing now so that their conscience will be able to accept anything that they are planning to do. Just imagine, using the crusades as an alibi which has been for centuries and definitely a part of history as a flimsy reason to continue their own plan to islamize the world?

Here is just an idea of how they are hatching and are actually obssessed to fulfill such plan. A world leader from Iran who should be the one to promote peace is the one encouraging chaos.

I live in an Islamic country and I have many Muslim friends and am married to a muslim...I have never heard Hitler or the Crusades referenced. Whats your source?

I, for one, have never seen anyone defending Islam by comparing it to Hitler. I have met Christians who site him as the greatest Christian leader of the 20th century, there are Christian churches in this country which have portraits and statues of him in their vestibules, and in the examples you cite Islam is not being defended, it is being pointed out that, Historically, Christianity is just as bad. The problem I see is that you do not read English very well.

usually they are condemning Islam in those comparisons
like saying Islamic leaders of terrorism are just like Hitler etc.
but for myself these approaches are overplayed and loose effectiveness as everyone joins the club they become muddled and confused and ineffective. whether for or against down to earth facts should better serve their rhetoric .

Most people Islam are nice. It is the radials that we have to, well, kill. I have no problem shooting, killing, radicals. I am a veteran I do know what it is like to shoot someone. I will shoot radicals. I WILL shoot them.
